If I can run 13.3 can I run 20.2?
1001sd replied to bearskin98's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
You can try using the new demo (0.18.3), link is here: https://kerbalspaceprogram.com/download.php It is almost equal in performance compared to 0.20. Some say it's better, some say it's worse, and some say there's no difference. So try the 0.18.3 demo. -
It sounds very interesting. I didn't know it was such a huge thing! I thought it was just something that happens sometimes, but it looks like not. I've had some semi-lucid dreams, where I just knew, that I was more than dreaming but couldn't really control anything. But now I need to go to sleep, and guess what I'm going to do? Yes, you are right, I'll try to lucid dream! (I know it isn't that easy, but you can't succeed if you don't try). Oh, and btw, any advice for a newbie like me?

I think (not sure) that you'll need to rotate the camera (arrow keys/drag with right mouse button in case you didn't know) and then press space to align the kerbal to the camera rotation.

Pursuedtank: I guess that if you want to, we (or some of us) can play with you, if you don't have any ksp friend/ no ksp friends who wants to play mission control. Also, thank Tobmaster and AustralianFries, it was lots of fun. We should do it again Would anyone be interested if we livestreamed while we play?

Which key is for stage lock
1001sd replied to Pawelk198604's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
And if you are using the linux build, you'll need to use right shift instead of alt. In linux the alt key is used to something else. -
You could use the small radial orange engines, and a oskar b tank instead of seperatrons. It isn't the same thing, but they can be refilled.

Maybe he means the inclination? If you try to get in orbit, then Vanamonde's thread can help you. (The same can a video from Scott Manley (search for him on youtube), and there is an orbit tutorial on the wiki too.)

Horses in KSP 2- You can download it!
1001sd replied to BlueSubstance's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Cool! But does they come with horse armor? -
I'm using the modular girder segments to have a place to put the landing legs. I take the short of the large one and places them outwards, and then the longer of them downwards with the landing legs at the bottom of them. It's not beautiful, but it works. And as a bonus, if you touch down too hard and the landing legs gets destroyed, you can still land on the girder segments

A little (off-topic maybe) thing to say, is that you can in fact search the forums for short/common words using google. Just search for "site:forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com some text here to search for", and you will get search results on the forums only.

Can you change the mode of the navball manually?
1001sd replied to tstehler1's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Just left-click on the navball where it says "x-m/s", and it should change between surface and orbit (and target if you have one). Edit: Ninja'd -
Granted, but Odin shoots you. I wish that the mods were at sleep for 24 hours. All of them at the same time. And without breaks.

Hitchhiker storage containers?
1001sd replied to Imaginer1's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Are you using mac? If yes, i think there is an issue. I can't remember if it helps, but try turning full screen mode off. -
How do I load autosaves
1001sd replied to agentexeider's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I think (I'm not sure) that you can rename the "autosave.sfs" to "persistence.sfs". But remember to back up before you try. -
Ah, it looks smart with coordinates. The Pitch/heading/roll is the same thing as the sliders down in the left corner in game, right? And 100% roll is all the way to the right, and -100% is all the way to the left? And with SOI changes, it is just smart. Are you planning to add a timer to show how long there is to the change? Like you've done with apo- and periapsis. And I couldn't find the difference between the antennas . It is a good idea to make them with different power usage and data rate. I think it will be hard to make, as people would then just open one graph at a time. But maybe limited graphs? So the small one can only use some of the features, where the large one can use them all. But do what you want, I'm just tossing out ideas . And what about a solid fuel meter? I think it's sad for Jeb that the mission control can't tell him that he's out of fuel

Raise the VAB roof?
1001sd replied to HamekEisenfaust's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I think the VAB gets higher the more you zooms out. I'm not entirely sure, though. If you don't know how, you drag forward/backward with middle mouse button. At my laptop, you can also use left (and maybe right) shift + normal tracpad scroll. The shift thing doesn't work with a normal mouse's wheel, interestingly enough... -
What is your term for a vessel that goes into space?
1001sd replied to llamatoes's topic in KSP1 Discussion
"Raket", "rumraket" or "rumskib". (Danish for rocket, (spacerocket, nonexisting english word ) or spaceship ). The names i use in game however, is for what they are used for, followed by a version number. As an example, my moonlanders is called moonlander v1, moonlander v2 and so on. (For some reason i don't have moonlander v3, but i have v2 and v4). When i'm not lazy, i tend to give the flights a mission number to see how many times i've used the rocket, and to see if i used my rocket to go to Duna before i used it to get to the Mun and such. Very few of my rockets have a mission number, though (the format would be "moonlander v1 mission 1". For my space station thing (currently two parts docked in orbit), i've called them "space station part 1" and "space station part 2". Not very creative, but practically. Maybe I'll start a new save in 0.20 where i give my missions cool names and badges so i can use them on the flags and flag-name-plates. -
And q and e to rotate in other directions. You can also press space to reverse the direction to the default.
-
Is there any difference between the two antennas? I can't seem to find anything else than the weight and the model. Is there any? And as i said earlier, facts about time to SOI changes, and which SOI you enters. But this is a great mod, and really helpful to mission control style games (I'm currently playing with my family, and it's pretty fun).
-
Eve. After that it was Ike, as i got an encounter while landing at Duna. And then Duna. All of these landings were performed with my first non-exploding Mun-lander.
-
True. But you'll never know if what i says is true... I could be a computer... I actually meant IRL, btw The next user/thing to comment has watched asdfmovie.
-
How could you guess? I'm doing it right now, waiting for my orbit to complete The next user has been on either the south or the north pole.
-
Granted, it explodes (did that come as a surprise to you?) I wish for a wish.
-
I do, it is Mac OSX 10.6.8. (I should have booted into my ubuntu dual boot ) The next user plays a musical instrument.
-
False. The next user is not using windows as their current OS.
