can you not edit the colour of parts in a config file?

The U.S.S. Sulaco from the Aliens movie. The drop ship that went with it looked pretty bad ass as well especially when the rockets came out the sides. Think its my fave cause it looks like a massive gun flying through space. Good question dude. You cheat yourself by using an extra set of rules not initially in the game is the best way I could sum it up I suppose. Like playing solitare and shifting some cards when you get at a dead end your only cheating yourself. I see mechJeb as an aid anyway. G.

KSPX and KS rocketry are the best parts packs IMO. Kethane pack adds parts and a new element to the game so also an interesting download. ISA mapSat is good for giving a use to probes/sats and it works fine with 19.1, another good one for adding a use to sats is the data comms pack(I can never remember what its called) but that adds the need to make a com link across space. Good luck hunting through the mess that is the spaceport. One last one Subassembly is good for quickly building craft from saved sections that do certain jobs like lifters/light launchers G.

What Pan said, if you can get close then the hard part is done. Set the docking port you wish to connect to as your target and slowly move in for the kill. The docking cam mod might help you as sometimes the whole keeping it aligned can be a pain. If all else fails you can get MechJeb 2. Get to the point you can do own your own then save (F5) next use mechJeb and watch what it does. Then load (hold F9) it and try do the same thing. That way you will have a good idea of what you need to do and get that great feeling of accomplishment when you finally do it. Good luck. G.

I have a load of mods installed as I'm on steam and can't be bothered using a workaround to run multiple copies. Takes about 5min G.

MechJeb does require battery life. Can you start engines manually? I know I've had it stop working on me and wondered what it was, then I realised I had ran out of electrical charge. G.

MechJeb FTW even if you want to fly the mission manually it's worth using for the Dv information your after.

have a look at the space port there's loads of .craft files that people have put up. More fun to makes it yourself though. Good luck. lots of trail and error, also read the reports when it does all go t*ts up as this will give you an idea of where the problem started. Start small just launch and come back down in one piece, then maybe aim to hit a high altitude. Then when you feel like you have some of the basics under control go for orbit. Best of luck. G.
