  1. I have a low (85km) orbit station for personnel transfer as my SSTO rocket cannot reach any higher and still retain enough fuel to rendezvous and deorbit safely. Main station is at 300km and there's a Mun station at 80km.

  5. Now Shelcal is stuck in orbit! One question; in Contracts you get an advance and then more on completion. Does the completion amount include or exclude the advance? I could test but does anyone know offhand?
  6. That's handy to know although I've always been a MJ user, thanks. I completed my mission to rescue Philfen. I did over-engineer and ended up making a loss of 23,696 in funds.
  7. Great update ~ current goal is trying to reach a million funds. Also now I've got the Mk1-2 capsule it's time to rescue Philfen from orbit and that's where my main problem with vanilla KSP gets highlighted. No Delta-V information. With the .24 update cost is now a major concern (even with a million funds in the bank!); I want, and need, to build an efficient rocket but without Delta-V data I'm forced to over-engineer at extra cost just to make sure I can do the mission.
  8. Upgrades are always going to change the game parameters, that's the fun of it. You've got a ship, station or base (or battleship WTF!) you're proud of, fine but now build it under the new rules. Or, which is more likely, you'll find that a new challenge has been thrown up and you'll enjoy doing that.

  15. I wouldn't say "too easy" but once you've grasped the basics of orbital mechanics, delta-v and TWR it is fairly straightforward. Then it's as easy or as hard as the goals you want to set for yourself. I think the question is being asked too early in the game's development. Once there are built-in goals (contracts?) then the difficulty level will be externalised and the question becomes relevant. However, I have voted.

  19. Mechjeb: used it from fairly early on and it gives me all the info I need.
  20. Space station modules. There's an inflatable module mod I use but I would really like more stock habitat parts.
