This is kinda of a challenge, but it is more of a discussion. So here it is. Without, time warp, but with unlimited fuel cheat. Travel to Duna. How long does it take you? Was the mission satisfying? Would this be away to do multi-player? Is this even the same game?

Upgrading the ram, to 6 or 8gb should help a little. The game can't use more than 4gb but with windows using some having extra couldn't hurt. But the game is general cpu limited. Not ram limited.

First impression of the new asas, not a clean install but with stock parts. Using a small orbitor I feels weird, I caught myself turn in on and off. Trilateral symmetry seems to introduce a spin when you try to change just one axis. Easily canceled out. ASAS does not stop rotation very well, but does prevent unwanted rotation from starting just fine. So when you turn to a heading you must cancel the rotation manually. Using intentionally out of balance rcs, Heading change 1-2 degrees during translations burns. Returned to proper heading when burn ceased. It feels weird to me, but I like it.

I was thinking it would be great to use the game as a 4x. How cool would it be to have to plan orbits in order to intercept invaders. (even assuming nearly unlimited DV you would still need to plan well) Deciding even which planet to defend if there widely spread. Placing farms, mines and cities on the surface. It was all cool in my mind until I tried to think have the interface would work. And I while I think it would be cool I am not sure it is even practical. I was wondering if you guys had any ideas.

You hit the nail on the coffin there. In the last five years or so, EA has gone form a company I eyed with suspicion to one I outright Boycott. Which has everything to do with how those business decisions translate into bad games.

To me Air hogging is anytime you have a intake behind another intake. To some degree I don't mind clipping radial intank into each other a little. But one behind the other is just taking advantage of a bug in the game.

No demo, no purchase. I have spent far too much money on finished, EA games, that have more bugs than KSP. If EA publishes it, I won't buy. Been my rule for about 2-3 years.

While I love the idea of this challenge, I just can't "fly" space planes in this game. I hoping the new update will allow me too. However it will most certainly break the file. I was thinking with extra-planetary launch pads mod you could expand this into a "league" with multiple courses on different planets. -

You can't really score this. It is just a challenge that you can do. And fairly quickly while you wait for .21. While you do have a enough dv you can't really waste it. If you really need a score board you could see who has the most rcs fuel when you land back at the lander. -
While awaiting .21 I have a challenge for you. Land a Kerbal on Minmus. Without using Mechjeb. No cheating and auto landing on the equator. Then proceed to EVA. During your EVA reach a stable orbit and go around the planet. Now de-orbit and return to your lander. Bonus landing on your feet. Double bonus landing on your lander. I did it, landed back 3.2km from my lander. I ran out rcs fuel trying to return to the lander. I had to much speed flying back and crash about 1000m short of the lander and slid a little short of 1000m past my lander.

unless you have enough rcs trust to turn it, or a landing strut mount in such a way to flip your stuck. Might try pushing it with your kerbal if it is light enough. -
Killing Relative Velocity

You must match orbits to kill relative velocity. Or kill relative velocity to match orbits above your nvaball it will say either, orbit, surface or target. Click it until it say target and burn retrograde. -
what time do .21 public version is going release

I know the date is taboo, but do they have a "normal" time. With all the preview videos it is kind of hard to play with the current asas. Especially considering they have announce a save breaking update. -
In action groups, disable front brakes, by removing them form the brakes group. that way you can at-least apply your brakes to slow down.

While a docking cam should be added to stock, the lazormod add other thing I don't want so I can really judge it. However spinning both ships is perfectly reasonable when learning to dock. And for the record I can dance around my station going from docking port to docking port without lazormod. But that requires alot of practice.

Reversing rover orientation

May not be the optima solution, but you can mount a docking port facing the desired direction and click control form here, Useful when you want one orientation for landing and another for driving. -
here my best advice. NAVBALL, NAVBALL, NAVBALL! I get close, point ship at target, switch ships and repeat. Now both port are, lined up and pointed at each. Now using the hnjikl keys keep them lined up. Do not rotate. If drifting off course adjust your pro-grade marker (target) using iklj so than you start to drift back. and then it is a matter of looking at the NAVBALL.

You are not going to gain speed entering the atmosphere. Using DRAG you can get a DV in the direction opposite of travel. Using a lifting body you can get DV perpendicular to the direction of travel with some drag. But you can not accelerate in the tradition use of the word (AS in increase your speed in the direction of travel). -
ok I like the landing strut mod. However I think the part is to small for some rockets. I tried to re-scale the part by creating a new folder. I copied everything to the new folder and renamed. I changed the part.cfg file rescale facter to 2. It appears to work great in the vab, but when I click launch the part back to it original size. The mod making said he intends to create a larger size, but he can't do it immediately. So I thought I would try myself. But I have very limited experience.

Looking through new demos on steam, played like it, bought it. No demo, no buy.
