  1. Maybe,maybe,maybe we could do anything afterwards, lets do (create in game features) with satelites at least something, than we can think about what exactly to do with them. I do not care at this point, what we will able to do exactly with them, I just wish to have something! then we can call for more functions on already build principes.

Lets start simply again, my suggestion is add a new part type [bases], for begining something like Pod we have now, -only with doors to enable IVA/EVA (IBA/EBA)for a start, -(no reaction wheels etc) - Module name parameter (as we have as craft name, and as it is on real ISS for example), -small ammount of integrated electrical capacity), -optionaly with ladder to go inside -integration to science tech tree will expand gameplay more.. maybe a Cube shape size about Mk1-2 Command Pod , purpose will be obviously to deliver it to any surface anywhere and let it there for entry, occupy by krebals. Later, it could expand with more parts to connect it with each other, provide rcs,electricity,small fuel resets.. and maybe as we have now - stationary[base] version of laboratory (Mobile Processing Lab MPL-LG-2). Future vision could be lab for store/examining sufrace samples/transmit or send back sample material. also Later, IVA (IBA) view. all those principes we do have now, its basicaly only one or two pars more, huge diference for me to have those in stock. Small task for developers, huge leap forward for players

Yes, of course, there should be such a thing how to overide (cheat) downgraded map to a full (actual 0.23.5 situation), maybe if we think it for some acceptable dificulty now, it could be in sandbox swichable fully whenever, and in career based on previously written conditions. By my opinion, it could be integrated very fast based on the fact that we seeking for downgrade, not for developing new features. It depends, if anybody cares this way..
  4. That seems to merging with the other idea with satelites / mapping. So this would be my idea for make this together: From the start: - you will see only spheres for planets (based on tracking station observations), only geometric with orbits, After simple flyover with ship: - you get aprox. color of area like low-res smooth texture of surface with water borders, and 2-5 elevation zones available for switch on/off on map view After using mapping device included on ship or satelite (needed bigger amount of electricity and data storage/transmitting option): - you get what we do have now as a more precise texture with some altitude markers. After full-scan you always should have option to switch between full textured (as it is now) and basic geometry view as you have from begining. Maybe it can save some resources and improve performance of game as well.
  5. This was my exact plan to post about day ago.. That would be nice, what about those simple things: Lets decrease tracking station ability Create new tracking part (parts) for satelite detector >>(range limited, maybe diferent range=diferent power consumption during activity) When it is powered it detect/shows you possible asteroids when you control that craft When it has also comunication device(antenas and Txs which we already have as a parts)+(and again also sufficiently powered) it transmits actual position to kerbin and provide tracking option in map view and tracking station Not so much new requested, great gameplay options ahead with this. This could bring to game: Gain some sense to use "satelites" (which are really part of a space programs..) Extends in-game-sense-value of electric items like battery and power sources Creates new playground area
  6. I think that we all can agree with one, we would like to utilize the density of other non-oxygen atmospheres, lets come with some type of "cheap" propulsion to use wingsail there.

I have same feeling for long time now, i would like to have anything to adjust(increase/switch) drag during flight, it does not need to be necesary same like B9 aero breaks, or duck nose like shuttle, but some extends would be nice. Maybe some limitations for that, i know that the some breaks from mods could slow realy low for example from freefall, so some efectivity until lower speed and than no efectivity, that would be nice to include
  8. this idea will solve my little troubles as well, i do sometimes lost in direction, so instead looking (lets say Kerbin with mun) from top (mean north), i am looking from bottom, so rotation is also oposite side. any indicator mentioned here will fix this my noobish behavior as well.
  9. this is sooo big! It seemed to be near to the 3d print size (about a small cola can), but build photos enlighted to me, great work!
  10. I didn't saw it here so if it is a double then move or delete.. I would like to have any options in VAB to temporarily hide already used parts on actual rocket (without moving or de-attaching parts a side), to improve acces to points covered by actual parts. Hiding could be by previous select for that parts by pointing on them or stage list. I mostly seeking this feature when i have to modify some internal parts and does not have (view)access to them when moving camera and zoom is just not enough. Hidden parts will be only invisible in construction space (and possibly marked in stage list if present),and un-touchable for a time (switch button maybe?)and if there is any colision than the part will stay red.. Picture describes, green sqare is selection for part to hide (only model picture - this could be easily done in this case).
  11. Althrough i am like the idea for adjustables like that, i feel more challenging to use fixed parts where everybody has same options (parts) and starts from same point. This sounds to me like procedural parts i saw in mods. Fixed parts from stock sets something like standards... With variety of parts we have now, we can't complain for count of parts, and if they will be keep slowly expand like until now, this is not at the top list for me..

My personal opinion is, that we don't need such large (far) locations, as it is now at 0.22 its good for improvements of system, gameplay, features rather, than the adding more "empty" (mean nothing else than the similar as we have) locations. Look at it as time needed for adding any feature directed to this, or something new.. (as bowl diagram shown in some idea-planned development video). If you are that hardcore player and you can flight almost anything to anywhere in few days, you have keep on mind that the others (i suppose that is majority of players) aren't that good (fast...) and will welcome new features for actual (closer) kerbal space more, than the another galaxy (full of same or similar features) behind the corner they never been...
  13. linear RCS port mounted a proper way (same as engine) shoud work nice, as well as usual rcs ports

I like that idea, after sucessfull establish of satelites (3+ would be nice, its not so easy, not so difficult), you (could then) gain access to "precise" surface (or lower altitudes) navigation/orientation (navball or just window/gauge with direction and distance). Of course as usual satelites nead continuous power source, stable orbit.. etc.. This leads me to this new parts idea: GPS satelite transmitter (for satelite) GPS signal reciever (for ship just for recieve information) GPS nav unit (enhancing navbal by one symbol leading to selected destination while you have signal from satelite) maybe somebody will direct us to mod section, but i am not suggesting super advanced functions ,menus etc.., just simple ones, as a stock parts do.., this could extend tech tree easily. ..by the end, it can maybe named as a KPS(Kerbal position system or something like that, i am not so happy by using same names as we do, because i am still fan of that kerbal world is it's own by all ways you see it)

Yup, definitely utilize transmiting feature, transmit is great, but if you can do it from whenever its not so extending whole feature, i would like to see diference between transmitter used for transmitting science like 20/40/60% ...., and also range to do that, bigger range - lower gain, + more repeaters (satelites) used = less loss of initial ability of first antenna. This will make players to more use probes and create satelites on orbits, which is great now, but player is not foced (or pulled) that way now, which is sad...

  17. its 08/13/2013 I just can't extract file "uploads_2013_07_NovaPunch2_02b.zip", bad archive, can't open or extract with anything, tried several times to download again, tried linux, windows, first time to happen this, anyone else same?
  18. If this will be new part with feature noted, and needed SAS/ASAS + consuming energy to work, that would make some kind of logic.. part itself will be limiting use (weight, dimmension, mount space...)

This might solve the idea, which I do agree, maybe only if "docking port" is targeted, and than you will try to maneuver to have ring around dot and maintain suitable approach speed, and its done. Yes! - you can look out from window/use external camera, but when we do have IVA pods, we can dock from IVA, why not, nothing leaved, just added option-to. This will not add anythin extra (new dot) to navball to make it even crowded. Maybe for another discusion, navball could be with switchable symbols (the other ones..) including this at that point.
  20. definitely it would be nice to have any align snap marks, for simple: 1- select existing part 2- with new-another part placing will be shown axe for borders of the first one sometimes is hard to place different parts (which are not symetric-group to each other) in same level.., there is plenty space in editor (VAB..) where can be placed buttons for that for optional disable at all...
  21. I was almost posting the same thing, lets give us a: NON-Stage-Stage (minimalised stage Ø number above all), ready to be expanded for drag inside parts somewhere else, but most importantly, this could never been able to activate by regular stagging [sPACEbar], as you told. +1
