  1. Yeah, it does provide some good info, however Engineer provides the same info without the temptation to autopilot and SKAWT MAHNLEE probably knows that.I used mechjeb when I started and I have a lot more fun now that I can fly on my own. Mechjeb buggered my ships and transfers up most of the time anyways.
  2. Yeah exactly, they've got all this stuff in the works, why piss us off with the oath of silence instead of discussing it with us?
  3. Honestly I'd rather have the devs themselves be saying what's happening because last stream they spent half an hour rambling about anything but the game. Not to mention the DLC fiasco...
  4. Cool freaking assumptions bro.First off I like the idea of expansion packs, but in recent years DLC has been "cut content from the main game and sell it as that for an extra buck", so people understandably freaked out. If the KSP dev team (NOT SQUAD, stop giving them credit for development) finishes all the planned features and decides to make an expansion pack for extra solar stuff or astrobiology mechanics, i'm all for it. But it'd have to be done well, and AFTER everything they've said they planned in implemented. Second off you need to drop the hero worship syndrome. Yes KSP is great, I love the game (which is why I'm so worried about all this) but that's how business works. If the guy peddling his product cannot meet proper standards or screws over his customers, that;'s a loss of business and a loss of money (which people use to buy food, by the way.) This is how capitalism works, and no matter how much you like a company or their products you have to recognize when they start making bad choices. They are not giving you the privilege to play their game, you are offering your money in exchange for a product they have promised will consistently be of high quality, and if they fail to live up to that you have every right to complain.
  5. Floating Jool base. It had solar panels and a central balloon but the pressure crushed them. Mind you it wasn't permanent because there was no way to save it despite it being completely still.
  6. Ditch the mechjeb and play with the nodes until you get a proper rendezvous. C'mon son.
  7. The issues are the lack of quality control in the community, the intrusive nature of the PR, and the veil of secrecy (which has just been slightly lifted I'll admit that). If you can't see the other two though I think that's a bit silly.
  8. I'm not trying to look good, I'm trying to point out the very real issues here, alright?
  9. Pardon me for being the wary consumer.
  10. I've got a rather nifty Eve station for crew to congregate at and deorbit equipment from.
  11. Alright, you won the argument. Your e-peen has gained 3 inches because I can't back up my claims without risking a ban.
  12. I think this is a good idea, some original tracks would be nice. Stock music that is used in a Dwarf Fortress sound engine kinda throws me off.
  13. Jeez, THANK you for addressing all this. This is the reaction I'm looking for, thank you thank you thank you. I feel a lot better already.
  14. I have plenty but as i just said the staff here is very easily offended and will most likely not like my digging up dirt on them. I'm sorry but that's all I can say.
  15. I would point out very immediate examples with some of the mods and community managers, but I don't want to set off any itchy ban triggers this place is known for.
  16. You just said "they aren't cutting features, they're secretive because they don't want us to see them cutting planned features."I'm sorry but that's completely bonkers. If they were open, honest, and apologetic after saying "here's what we want to do, but we can't because reasons", there'd be no reason for suspicion nor would people be in uproar about the feature being cut.
  17. Again, take it up with N3X15. For all I know maybe he's fibbing. But everything else I've seen myself, especially the way that the staff behaves, has the game on a Hoffman maneuver for disaster.
  18. I would but the devs have gone full hermit-mode, and out only potential method of communication with them right now is the community managers, and I know I certainly can't rely on them. The best evidence I can offer is talking to N3X15 about it, on our community he's been our inside source to all the bull that's been going on but even he's being bullied by the higherups. Why is everyone so afraid to be skeptical? Why does it always have to be this blind optimism and "SQUAD can do no wrong"?
  19. Ignoring problems makes them worse.I want this game to succeed, I want it to reach its full potential, but with the current attitude of SOON XD and MODS WILL DO IT it'll never meet its full potential, just like Minecraft. Taking something with a grain of salt does not mean outright ignoring it.And yes, I'm entitled to the quality of the purchase I've made. This is some EA level defense forcing going on here.
  20. N3X15 is the server dev, just FYI.And of course what I'm saying should be but again, having seen this many times before i have every reason to be pretty paranoid about all this.
  21. Well it wouldn't be the first time a dev decided "screw it" once they got enough money. I am absolutely baffled about how passive so many people are about this, you're the consumer, you're the person who is keeping these people in business, you certainly have a say in what happens (if the business wants to keep their reputation and customers of course). And no, the DDoS attack was not their fault, but the completely haphazard way they're dealing with it is very amateur. N3X15 has repeatedly said that the PR, community managers, and lawyers have prevented him from doing his job properly on multiple occasions. I know him from way back so I think I can trust him when he says "the way they're doing all this is retarded".
