This one is really fun to fly. Goes supersonic in dry mode, top speed of Mach 1.45 with afterburners, pulls 15+G turns without breaking apart, 2000 km range at 8000 m ASL.
Kinda tricky to land due to being rather touchy below 250 km/hr. Working on that part.

  2. Reviving an old post here:

I'm running a ACER Predator Bifrost ARC a770.  So far I'm rather pleased with the results so far. I've had issues with Scatterer (game crashes) but for the short time I ran it it did look fantastic. EVE I confess I never tried it.

The Intel ARC's might not be top of the line, but for the price they aren't bad at all. Heck of alot better than the integrated chip graphics.

    My new rig in progress:

ASUS TUF gaming Z790 WIFI+  motherboard
Intel i3-13100 processor (Motherboard is compatible with 14th gen Intel processors, which I probably will upgrade in the future)
Kingston FURY Beast 32GB DDR5 RAM (x4) (arriving Friday)
Some cool looking generic case I picked up at the pawn shop for $65 (also came with a AIO water cooler block and radiator, plus a whack load of fans. Not a bad deal really).

    Coming soon:

    850 - 1000 watt power supply
Intel ARC 770 16 GB GPU
An adapter card for Firewire 800/400 (I have some older equipment that work well still)

This computer will be doing other things besides some light gaming, hence the RAM. The processor is the weak link, but that can be upgraded later.

    And she's done.

-Picked up a modular 1000 watt Power supply
-ACER Bifrost ARC 770 16 Gb graphics card (so far it's pretty good). Makes the intel 730 chip graphics look like complete dog-poo.
-Couldn't get the Firewire adapter card to work with the motherboard. Not a huge deal, but damn annoying.
-Stuck with two 32 GB RAM sticks for now. 64 GB of DDR5 RAM is plenty for now (actually overkill beyond ridiculousness for what I'm currently doing ATM).

    Future:
-Probably a larger air cooler for the CPU. I can't justify nor put up with the All-in-one liquid cooler. Ether the lines are too long, too stiff, or the radiator placement is just janky.  The i3's 85 watt thermal rating is pretty controllable with a air cooler.
-Besides, I have four 120mm fans sucking in cool air into the case, and lots of ventilation for the warm air to leave.
-Intel 14th gen i5 or i7. Not sure at the moment. The i3-13100 is surprisingly jammy for a 4 core/8 thread processor.

  4. Thank you all for the likes and the birthday posts. Sorry I've been tardy in my return likes and such. Still working 60 hr/week and building the new rig.

    Final build:

ASUS TUF Gaming Z790 plus WIFI motherboard, LGA1700 socket
Intel i3-13100 CPU (yeah weird combination I know)
Kingston Fury DDR5 5200MT/sec RAM (64 gigs of it.)
Corsair 1000 watt power supply, fully modular
Samsung 870 EVO SATA 3 drive (leftover from old system), 500 GB
CyberpowerPC case (pawn shop buy.  Came with a AIO water cooler and 6 fans)

    Last thing to purchase:

Graphics card (probably a intel ARC 770)

I think I'm ready for Kerbal Space Program 2.

EDIT: As the system is currently running Intel HD730 graphics it runs KSP1 excellently. Most of the graphics are maxed out and it still has a decent frame rate (40+). With the ARC 770 it will probably do whatever the game requires of it.  Kerbin really does look nice........Jool has beautiful cloud formations........I like the trees......:D

  5. I still hammer on Skyrim. My hot Nord wife tells me how great my house is and the kids love it while beheading bandits and other beasts.

    She's great. :)

Okay, truth time: My wife is Serana. I got her to convert herself to be Human, not a Vampire.

She's as maternal as a rock, but she's still hot, so why not.
