  1. New procedural terrain may fix the clipping issues in .21.
  2. I came to say this. It's a classic loading hint that needs to be nodded to everywhere. It's from Sim City 2000
  3. I'm doing research on Windows-based touch tablets. All of them seem to run the HD Graphics. I'm looking into weather this quaint little game will run on it.
  4. Can you elaborate? How is the interface... erm... interfaced -i.e. action keys, staging keys, other keys, etc?
  5. Scott's a PhD but he doesn't take himself to incredibly serious. As far as the gaming goes, he likes to play the game more than anything. He gets bothered when I want to use the map to make a node and he just wants to point and burn. I like the physics part a lot, but being his trade, it may not be as novel to him. I want to do another one with him soon, but I don't know what to do in it. Perhaps a tour of .21 could work if it comes soon enough. He's also real big on "Star Citizen" from Chris Roberts (of Origin.) I have a feeling he will be doing quite a few videos regarding that game when it is released.
  6. Can anyone give input on KSP using an: Intel HD 4000 or Intel HD 4400 Thank you.
  7. X-COM: UFO DEFENSE [1993] The original game, not the new one: It was infinitely re-playable, every mission map was generated randomly, it required significant planning and strategy and I wasted most of my youth on it.
  8. Has anyone played this game using a touch screen? If so, please state your experience.
  9. This is actually very helpful; I was not aware of the 12.5% rule. I figured the rule was linear and not geometric with an increase in volume, but I never thought to look at the stock parts. I can now accurately model the mass of the tank with a given fuel volume. To be clear: If the given fuel-Ox mass is "X" then the tank dry mass will be "X*.125?" Does the addition of mono-propellant affect this? I want to be able to automatically calculate fuel necessity for staging using a simple Excel spreadsheet so I can create custom components quickly for deployment into simple, efficient vessels. I attempted a IRL balancing of the parts back in 0.16... it throws the game off until you factor in a standard reduction in volume to fit the game... but then I decided, "why bother with *real* if I'm going to just change it."
  10. Sounds like someone should start learning Blender and Unity... I look forward to Wing Commanding KSP
  11. 3 things: 1. I was thinking of doing this same thing... 2. I hummed the music from WC1 during the cinematic that shows everyone getting their helmets before getting in the fighters. 3. Now make a Rapier (because I'm no good at this.) optional 3. Make the Tiger's Claw for all the fighters
  12. I have another question: For a 250 cm cylinder, the base volume (h = 1cm) is 49087.5 cm^3 If I add 10 L of fuel and 12.22 Liters of oxidizer (22.22 total, 222220 cm^3), the total volume of the tank becomes (147262.5) but the additional volume should make it only 71307.5. What accounts for the discrepancy of 75955 cm^3??
  13. Lando, What is the formula you use to calculate mass for empty tanks? I'm trying to put together a custom stage planner that works with your program's outputs so that I can build a completely custom, non-wobbly, efficient rocket. NASA's formula for predicting propellant tank masses: Mtank = 10.41 * (Vtank)^0.75 wherein M is in lbs and Volume is cuft. Metric conversion: replace 10.41 with 0.68 to make mass in metric ton and volume in cubic meters. I haven't plugged numbers in to see if this formula matches, but I would like to know your formula and the reasons behind it if it is different.
  14. We shouldn't ahead of ourselves with this one: someone may WANT to use an older version of KSP and would want the mods for that.
  15. Queries: 1. What is the difference between Cylinder (Clean) and regular Cylinder? 2. The texture files contain two "strips" in the template (on the right side) what do these strips affect, visually? Requests: 1. The ability to add more vertices (and faces) to the shapes. This will allow smoother cylinders, cones, etc. It should be customizable as someone may want a 12-sided cylinder. 2. The ability to add the texture before exporting the item so that the texture can be realized on screen before opening the game. 3. The ability to add command [MODULE]s to the part since 0.20 allows you to start a rocket with any part, but no fly it with any part. I think this is a great program and it has saved me since 0.20 broke SuperNova's Service Modules; this will hopefully allow me to stop gap until he fixes his model. It has now opened up my eyes to "wobble-less" rockets as well.
  16. What about Eve? (as a Venus-analog?)
  17. I keep getting an error message about how the subassembly is bad and has no free nodes.
  18. "[" or "]" will switch object control. Use the tracking station to select the object and delete it from tracking.
