  1. Are you sure that you have enabled flags to be shown in the tracking station? (small menu on top)
  2. The node you have placed is on the next orbit as you can see in the amount of time till you reach your node (146 days while your initial closest approach was in 51 days). By then, when performing that maneuver Duna will be 30 million km further at the point where you are closest to Duna's orbit at 220 days.
  3. I think the temperature scan only works inside an atmosphere and on the surface, so it is not possible to do a temperature scan of the sun.
  4. I was flying on Laythe today when I came across this magnificent view:
  5. Well, it can be useful in the case of an asymmetrical payload. By tweaking the thrust you can move the center of thrust to the center of mass. That's all I guess
  6. Is it sure that this plugin works perfectly fine with version .23? I encountered the following problem for the second time while using the switching between SPH and VAB modes in the VAB: While doing the same principle in .22 did not give me this problem.
  7. Thank you very much for this update, now I'm able to continue my savegame on .23
  8. Could you tell me the actual size of the product from your picture? Does it correspond to the dimensions given on the webpage?
  9. Possibly the same channel as was covering the launch: CCTV: http://english.cntv.cn/live/p2p/index.shtml
  10. The commentators don't know the difference between apogee and perigee...
  11. and off it goes! Very good coverage by CCTV
  12. Interesting way of lowering the rover itself, I hope it is tested thoroughly
  13. My favorite is by far Dres, Not so difficult to get there, low insertion delta v and very easy to land on/ascent from.
  14. On its way to Eeloo for my first manned landing attempt. He is joined by Bill.
  15. If I was you, I should research something called terminal velocity
  16. What is your root part? (The part from which you started building this)
  17. hmm ok, so for what I want to do I think I'm better off using a rover or landers then... But I will surely try a (manned) rocket powered plane in the future I will fly my designs on Laythe then, just have to add some delta-v to my transfer vehicle. Thank you for this quick and clear response. Jenteb07
  18. Hello all, I have an Eve transfer window coming up in a couple of ingame days so I decided to explore the planet and do some science using two robotic planes. My question is now, is flying on Eve even practical? Or am I better of driving a rover? And same question holds for Duna. Thank you, Jenteb07
  19. I had Jool interfering with an Eeloo transfer once but Dres has never bothered me. bravo.
  20. It seems logical to me, when an object falls in air it tends to fall in the direction with least amount of resistance=aerodynamic drag, so when you're ship is pointed in that direction it is difficult to move it out of this least resistance state.
  21. like this: In the picture above I have layed out a selection of LEGO rocket parts, that are built in the style of KPS.
