  1. The ship itself was an experimental mun lander which went approximately 0.00m/s since it self detonated on the launch tower (Dang kraken). With ASAS on though this wing recovered after dropping from one of the higher stages and had another wing stay with it until physics unloaded it after one suborbital hop. More pictures to come underneath. Also are spoilers broken? " " All relevant pics here. http://flic.kr/s/aHsjG3Uqwo EDIT: Also if I launched/destroyed the ship just to launch a few AV-R8 winglets that would be a bit of a waste. I'll go look for the craft and semi-full pictures of it anyway though. EDIT 2: Looks like the craft for my N-2 Rescue Lander was scrapped. I'll attempt a recreation of big wobbly rocket + ASAS winglets.
  2. Notice me please, my post is on the first page but you seem to have ignored me. :C
  3. I do have pictures of one wing that I had which went into a suborbital trajectory after it's respective ship exploded because of kraken-related problems on the launch tower. (It was in the demo) Beat that, 3281.6m/s Top speed. 2013-05-26_00011 by Nalin_Airheart, on Flickr Now I'm just waiting for some to make a micro-probe (Or Kerbal Jetpack ) with a thousand canards on the launch pad.
  4. Infiniglide ftw, also you would need a ton of delta-v to glide around Kerbin without any thrust after launch. Proof or it didn't happen OP.
  5. Create a micronavigator/exosuit for kerbals to navigate around using parts such as the micro liquid fuel engines, kerbal seats, oscar tanks, etc. And with this make it on top of the VAB. Bonus points if you make it on the flag pole. (Hint: You need something to latch onto the flag pole or insane accuracy.)
  6. Flags aren't available in the demo, what about dropping off an RCS Tank with three ladders pointing up as a 'custom' flag?
  7. Challenge Accepted, I live in the 0.18.3 Demo so this will be a walk in the park. (Besides landing on other planets :C) EDIT: After two hours of screwing around I have Jeb stuck on the Mun with a pod and a AV-8 just fluttering endlessly from 35KM-280KM.
  8. Someone just kill me...I had two designs, one was a 75fps serial stager, one was a 10framerapes/day monstrosity made to the maximum fuel limit. M-1 (Serial Staging) Altitude: 2,191,415 Total Fuel: 11,365 M-2 (Lag Star) Altitude: 1,000,497 Total Fuel: 45,233 Can't find the BBCode option for Flickr anymore, here's the whole Photostream, if you want more pics I can give you every screenshot I took during the hour and a half I was doing this. EDIT: This was done in the 0.18.3 Standalone Demo :3 Apparently I'm missing the F3 Screenshot at MET:0:01. I'm going off of height instead of distance traveled but they're almost the same because I launched in the Solar Escape window and went straight up to maximize my efficiency.
  9. This challenge was already done, the record was 1-man + I-beam, can someone close this thread?
  10. Here's my entry, more pictures in the album. --> www.flickr.com/photos/95460760@N03 2013-05-12_00002 by Nalin_Airheart, on Flickr It escaped at 4845.4m/s with the pod. After 500 days it was at 223534451.478 KM or 223,534,451,478m
  11. 98) Kermit the Frog as a mascot on the side of my rocket/decal. 99) Hats and tools for my Kerbals to use/flaunt. 100) Why can't we have Steam achievements and a working demo that doesn't flip its kraken when it starts?
  12. Not sure if I'm reading it right but say I get a 105/95 orbit with 50tons of fuel. 50*.05*.05 = 0.125 101/99 50*.01*.01 = 0.005 Or maybe 50*1.05*.95 = 50 Or even a 1000/1000 orbit. 50*10*10 = 5000
  13. Here's my entry, not really meant for the challenge but the serial staging testbed did get a pretty high apoapsis of 371MK up. How are people escaping the sun at 4.5Km/s while my ship can't escape at 12.3Km/s?
