Yesterday it happend to me again. At least the second time, probably third or more. Let me paint a proverbial picture: After a while of not playing, an update arrives. I update the game, take my time looking at all of the features, launch a craft, [made a mistake] (this time i just forgot the parachute..) and Jeb immidiatly dies the first launch.. ''Chronisch dood, niets meer aan te doen'' -Onbekend Am i alone in such things?

Dear community, Squad, I realise it's kind of late in the game (pun intended) but i would like to suggest a feature or two, three: 1: Conract grouping: I would like to see some way to group active contracts. This would allow you to cluster contracts according to relevance, priority or specific missions. 2: Comments/description at the ''Rename vessel'' dialogue: I would like to see space to add comments there. Similar to the way you can add a description at the VAB, underneath the design name. This would allow us to add information that you can revisit at the tracking station. This would seem very usefull when you are directing (very) long term, complex, missions. Especially when you have multiple active missions. 3: Abillity to archive flights/missions: Sometimes i have very long term missions or even historic, inactive, operational missions. These add up. I would like a way to ''ghost'' them out af the tracking station. For clarity. This could likely be combined with my next suggestion: 4: Custom flights types at tracking station: For one reason: see suggestion 3. Others might like to group active missions, landed aircraft, satelites, manned missions, interplanetary missions, science missions, test flights, flags!!, failures, whatever.... Any thoughts? Kinds regards, Robje

i approve of this message! (+1) -
I would , hereby, like to take the opportunity to speculate the addidtion of a gas giant with rings (!). I seem to recall some dev mentioning it a while ago. I have not heard of it since. Maybe the secret project?

Thx for you feedback but i politely disagree:) to me it seemed obvious to pass around save files. And you can call this whatever you want (Co-op=single team team play), but i think it's challengiing to tackle such a project with others. I have indeed read the rules and i did not take it negatively;) Kind regards!

Dear Colleagues, STEADLER Engineering Corps has contracted our space agency to plant a flag on Tylo in their honour. Gene Kerman has assigned me as project manager for this particular contract. I am in charge of assembling a team to achieve the following objectives to the best of our abillities: Primary objectives: -Plant a flag on Tylo. -transmit or recover data from space around Vall. Secondary Objectives: -Return kerbonauts to Kerbin. -Plant flag on Vall. -Recover materials study and surface sample from Tylo. -Recover materials study and surface sample from Vall. STEADLER Enginieering Corps has provided us with an advance of 66.667 funds. We are authorized to use Kerbal Engineer Redux v1.0. I will be considering applications for the following positions: Launch Vehicle Engineer *VACANT* In charge of development of the Launch Vehicle. This will include the Lander/Return Craft. Lander/Return Craft Engineer *VACANT* In charge of development of the Lander/Return Craft. Kerbonaut *VACANT* Will perform the actual mission. Will perform any tests and test flights requested by other departments. Mission PLanner *VACANT* Will advise to achieve an efficient and effective mission profile. The Mission Planner will develop checklists and will give advise on the mathmatical context of the mission. Only the Mission Planner is authorized to use Kerbal Engineer Redux v1.0. The Mission Planner is also in charge of the science aspect of the mission. He will maximize the science output available within this mission and work closely with the engineers. Correspondation will occur via the forum. Send your motivation via PM to me. As soon as the team is complete we will go from there. We will hold a brainstorm meeting to inventorise any ideas and experiences. Yours sincerely, Robje Kerman

Confusing UI of Rapier engine
Robje replied to Robje's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
My bad, i meant RAPIER. The ''airbreathing Rocket''. -
Dear brethren, Is it me or is the ''Automatic/Manual switching'' dialogue in the RAPIER engine UI the only button that displays the current state rather then the state it will be set on if you press the button? (in other words: if the text to the left of the button says ''Automatic Switching'', the engine will switch automaticly. Example of normal buttons: when landing legs are raised the text next to the butten reads ''Lower Legs'', being the alternate state.) If so, thats rather confusing. Kind regards, Rob

Dear friends, Ik would like to suggest some features. Starting of with an information screen where you can review your funds balance. It will show show revenues (from accepted contracts, recovered vessels, contract rewards, etc.) and expenses (prepping a vessel for launch, contract penalties, etc.). preferably each in their own colours. as i am seeing this many big numbers (funds, altitudes, distances, etc.) i would like to see dots at the thousands and millions and so on. It would make reading a lot clearer for me. dots at thousands For organising my space missions and to make all available information more comprehensible it would be helpfull to have the option to group active contracts. I would use each group for each specific mission. It would also sort the active contracts more logically. It would also be my preference that the default state of the active contracts in the contracts GUI in flight mode would be minimized. I believe the next subject was already being discussed, but for totallity: I would like the option to switch mods on/off for specific savegames. I feel as though the (f3) results dialoge is an unfortunate omission to the mission summary dialoge. Perhaps squad can include some more events, like new science, reports, dockings, flag plantings, SOI changes, landings, splashdowns, etc. Finally, it would be my preference if the default state of the flags buttons in the trackingstation/map view would be grayed out. They are not active flights in my opinion. EDIT: And really finally, i think it would be cool for some kind of log. A list of all past missions. If you click on them you will get a short summary with some highlights. Perhaps others feel the same way? Kind Regards, Robje

What with all the maneuver nodes, more stable joints, increasingly bigger parts etc. Give arguments if you like.

I drove 200 km to and from Jeb who was stranded on Eve. Very tedious.... Unfortunately the rescue craft wasn't able to reach orit either.

Flags are not "Flights in Progress"
Robje replied to jfjohnny5's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
haha thats funny. But i agree with the statement. -
Thanks! that first part makes sence and clearifies things. However, the part about the antennae doesn't seem to correlate with the VAB rightclick info.

Perhaps this is a stupid question but what exactly does the green bar next to recovery in the science experiment window mean? What does the ratio between the dark and light green say? Furthermore, is it true that the Comms DTS-M1 is worse than the Communotron 16 in .23? (smaller bandwith and more power consumption) or am i missing something? Thx

I think all of us should just be patient

I would like to suggest an option to move the NavBall and/or Altimeter/the other instruments. When i use a large navball for ease of use, i am having trouble seeing my bigger crafts. The NavBall, and to a lesser extend the other instruments, obscure my view. Especially when i zoom in a little to have a good look at something. Being able to move them to the right or left would help. Kind Regards,

So musicpenguin, what is the next step?
