Does armour even work on current missiles?

Your drawing style looks almost identical to mine! Though I'm pretty out of practice by now.

Kerbal Dynamics: Navy SEALs!
Comrade Jenkens replied to ihtoit's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
DARPA were actually considering trying to build a combined submersible / aircraft. -
I think that NASA should be trying to make as much of the rocket reusable as possible. Similar to what Space X is doing.

I don't like the orange tanks. They're ugly.

Wait? Mac's don't have a middle button for the mouse? -

I think that you should be able to right click on the parts and choose between textures. -

Any news on the first stage? They don't seem to be showing it -

Forgot that we're on BST rather than GMT Was wondering why it hadn't launched! -
Global Warming: Past the point of no return
Comrade Jenkens replied to Rhidian's topic in Science & Spaceflight
We can currently afford to feed many more people than we have on the planet if people were prepared to stop eating meat. The higher up the food chain you go the less efficient the production of food becomes. A cow can only feed a few people but the amount of grain it is fed on during its life will feed many more. I'd hate to have to give up meat personally but in the future it may become necessary. The removal of the millions of cows would drastically cut greenhouse emissions as well. -
I've seen things recently about SpaceX wanting to take people to Mars, (I think that they are being more than a tad optimistic but that a whole different topic), but the effects of 40% gravity on long term human health are still unknown. I'm wondering if a very large, ground based centrifuge could be constructed to act as a habitat to make up for the lack of gravity on the surface?

Devnote Tuesdays: The "Hail Hydra!" Edition
Comrade Jenkens replied to SQUAD's topic in KSP1 The Daily Kerbal
I meant in relative terms. Some things like improved part joints were planned for 0.24 but have been added in 0.23 instead. -

Comrade Jenkens replied to SQUAD's topic in KSP1 The Daily Kerbal
So is 0.24 going to just a smaller update with just contracts, (because the other planned ones came with ARM), or is it being delayed so another et of features can be added to it? -
I've been sending up stock capital ships since the days of 0.19! From my first attempt the Co-1: To the latest in my fleet the Co-23: To ungodly monstrosities like the Fr-22:

Global Warming: Past the point of no return

Fun Fact: Euthanasia and Genocide are two very different things.... Killing most of humanity falls very firmly under the latter. -
Global Warming: Past the point of no return
Comrade Jenkens replied to Rhidian's topic in Science & Spaceflight
I explained in my post before that. Massive increases in renewable resources and nuclear power to make up for the energy demand of the towers. Stop using cattle as a food source. As for the CO2 extracted, simply do anything to stop it returning to the atmosphere. I'm pretty sure my suggestion is more reasonable to exterminating most of the human race. -

As I said: Build millions of scrubber towers to start cleaning the atmosphere. -
These look pretty high quality and i'll be testing them soon. Some of your weapons would be more compact if the sepatrons were rotated inside the weapon itself.

Global Warming: Past the point of no return
Comrade Jenkens replied to Rhidian's topic in Science & Spaceflight
A much more viable alternative would be a worldwide effort to quickly build mass renewable power generators over massive areas of the surface to cut carbon emissions. Also mandatory switching to electric cars and construction of millions of scrubbing towers to absorb the CO2. Also replace cattle farming with grain production which takes much less energy for the same amount of food while eliminating one of the largest sources of greenhouse gasses. It would be a worldwide effort and not particarly nice but it sure would be better than the mass murder of billions. Once the situation had stabilised again money could start being put into developing a future hydrogen economy which could raise the quality of life but retain the ability to be environmentally friendly. -

As per usual the KSP community never ceases to terrify me... -
However far KSP is developed there is always going to be a demand for new parts to be added and many areas still have an incomplete parts set. (e.g 0.635m, 3.75m and seaplanes) However the parts menus are already becoming very cluttered with the ones we've got let alone more. I think that the parts menus need to be redone to make them work better with more parts in the future and allow better sorting into categories which will make them easier to find. I know that there is a mod that does this but it would be nice to have something like it in the stock game.

The 7 Balance Points of engines in a Full Career Mode.
Comrade Jenkens replied to Rakaydos's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I think that the NERVA should be pushed to the end of the tech tree and given a buff in thrust. In real life they produce a similar amount to chemical rockets. Before I was happy with it being low thrust due to sandbox balance but now we have efficient, light and powerful chemical engines there isn't a reason to keep it such low thrust any more. -
I was thinking that rather than being a ramjet (which can only operate at high speed), it has a compressor at the front to force the air into the system just like a normal engine rather than letting speed force it in.
