Kerbal Recovery Mission

My apologies guys, I haven't had a chance to read the FAQ about .24 . Got to stoked wanting to play the game and totally passed up ready it, mad a Bill Kerman mistake and didn't read the instructions lol. Thanks for the help . -
Hello all, In the midst of doing contracts for the new version of KSP .24, one of the contracts offered a few times is to recover a stranded kerbal from orbit. The problem I found on my first attempt at one of these is that you can neither fly the Kerbal or capture him in a contraption of any kind as it fails you upon re-entry or landing . It says to get them aboard your craft and then return to Kerbin with the Kerbal in question. Is there something that I am missing?

I am familiar with port forwarding on a router but this is my first time port forwarding through a modem directly, Its one of those Xfinity WiFi modems. Took me a while to get into the modem, forwarded port 2076 with tcp & udp settings -
KMP v0.1.5.1 [0.23] [alpha] [inactive]

Hello all, I am trying to host my own server, The problem I keep encountering is when I connect I get in fine letting the connect window in KSP use localhost as address. But When I have my friend try to join with the IP I believe I'm suppose to be giving him it says disconnected. I have port 2076 forwarded, do I have to use the IP binding or should I be giving him a different IP address then mine? -

I do intend to make an IVA and be able to see the internals from the outside. And thanks Eric I will catch up with him and see what he did to make all that work. The IVA's from what I have read don't sound extremely complicated to make. -
Before I get flamed for doing what I am doing, I am making this because it seemed like a simple first add on. As this is my first I decided to choose something already built to go off of, so I went with the Bubble ship cockpit from the movie Oblivion. I choose it because its a beautiful design, simplistic and extremely unique and seemed extremely modern and spacy and I am not going to put the guns on because its not approved by the game developers and because those spots could be put to better use with other attachments. I am using Google Sketchup for most of the modeling as its a great program to get a model rolling and let you tinker and refine the design you want. It has its faults which I will brush out in 3Ds Max and then texture using Mud-Box. Let me know if I am going the wrong direction with anything as opinions and constructive criticism are welcome!!!
