  1. I used to use it all the time. When they made the joints stronger in the stock game I really didn't find the need. Pancake rockets were always easier to make stable that tall thin rockets when the joints were weak.
  2. I've taken a couple different 5-6 month breaks from playing. I'll get hooked on a few other games for awhile but always come back.
  3. I have no problem with damage itself, but I do agree that was overdone. I actually thought I had scratches on my screen when I first saw it.
  4. It could be the effect of impacts has changed. I've had very little time with the new update, but I have noticed rolls seem to cause more damage than before. At the same time, straight impacts seem to cause less damage, such as tipping over a lander. By the way, I love your design. That's a very good looking vehicle.
  5. Early access is a way for developers to make money earlier, plain and simple. You're not a paying beta tester or anything else that you can call it that makes it seem better. It'd be a lot easier if everyone would just admit this to themselves instead of threads like this happening all the time.
  6. If the Russians are like me at all, they probably forgot to install something critical... like a fuel tank.
  7. Didn't use it for the first 200 hours of gameplay. Mostly I use it as an easily placed unmanned probe on my later stages. It helps keep the space debris down.
  8. If I took seriously the things that games taught me and the moral standards they can depict I would be in prison by now. Actually, I'd probably be dead. Moral of the story: 99% of people don't take games seriously. Don't go play any of those rocket Flash games. You'd get really upset about turtles, hedgehogs and such being launched into space in the name of more upgrades.
  9. I used to drive through White Sands once a week. It doesn't happen often but you would get to see interesting things from time to time.
  10. My friend told me I needed to check out this game he had been watching some videos about. I bought it after about 5 minutes of looking into it and haven't looked back since. I actually bought him a copy of the game and still can't get him to really play it. He's one of those people that would rather watch videos and live streams of people playing games than actually playing them himself. I've never understood it.
  11. You never know. I thought I saw a rocket flying, then explode, and my friend thought I was nuts. I found out the next day I watched a successful missile interception.
  12. Are you embarrassed about some games you own or something? 232 logged on Steam. Not sure about the total to be honest.
  13. I drove my rover/hopper down from elevated biomes to the flats a couple times while gathering science to save some fuel. I learned quickly that you ride the brakes all the way down.
  14. My style is to have no plan and see what happens.
  15. Was there a public roadmap when you bought the game? No, there wasn't. They never offered one and you bought the game knowing this. Who's fault is this? The rest of your points are purely opinion with the exception of 6 just being a rant. I'm not "worried with how things are going". You know why? I've yet to find a single game that I didn't disagree with parts of the game design, yet the games always seem to live on. I'm not saying that I even disagree with everything you said. I'm just not going to act like the game will fall apart because of this.
  16. So I made a lander/rover that could collect science at 8 out of the 9 biomes on Minmus. I successfully hopped through the 8 biomes, left it on map view and went to make dinner. When I come back I quicksave before starting off on my rendezvous with my orbiter. Then I suddenly notice I have no electric charge which shouldn't happen and no fuel stats. Apparently I set my remote on the throttle key when I left to eat. 32 science reports stored. I zoomed in to see this: Bad time to quicksave.
  17. The only thing I ever see with the maneuver nodes changing from one to the other is from the angle at which you're viewing it. The icons will change their relative location as you rotate the camera around them.
  18. I've run stock since .23 for the most part. I wanted to see what the balance of career was like with stock parts only. I had enough invested in it to keep going after everything was unlocked. It has helped me become more creative which is something I struggle with mightily. I always played with mods before so I definitely like them as well. I'd say just do what you want and don't worry about what people will want to watch.
  19. Joemon. He has six successful Mun landings under his belt.
  20. I play both. My tech tree is unlocked in career but I have a lot invested in it with bases and stations so I stick with it mostly. My sandbox save is mostly to mess around with mods.
