  1. I created a Station Killing Probe for my sandbox save and prematurely activated it due to a staging error. I later realized I did so in my career save >.< Now I have 150ish pieces of debris. Every few minutes any one of my four fuel drones are within 60 km or so of a piece.
  2. FPS's are rarely accurate in their depictions of anything. Gotta keep them playable and fun though. ArmA is a pretty tight game and extremely realistic too.
  3. When contacts come out I think a cool thing to incorporate into sand box would be a way of creating you own mission with clear objectives. A lot of people say that you sort of have to set your own goals and this would be a way of doing so. There would be a building to click on and a me he that shows current mission, past missions, or create new. An example would be my current project of launching 20 fuel drones into LKO. Before the start of the mission I would create the mission profile then build the required ships and execute. Ship is the VAB or SPH would have and option to be assigned to a certain mission. Just a suggestion. It would help with keeping track of what random projects you have going on. This or a better thought out variant of it would be cool.
  4. This probably should be posted in challenges. I made a similar challenge but the max was 2000 meters if I recall correctly. And it was air breathing engines only. EDIT: here it is http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/26665-High-speed-Low-altitude-Plane-Challenge
  5. Three crew plus a hitchhiker can. Gonna send it to the Mun once i develop a 'pusher' vehicle.
  6. What about Captain Skunky? I havnt seen him around the forums in a little while (maybe not looking in the right places). Where'd he go?
  7. Sorry for the off topic but what mod is this?
  8. What was your MOS?

  9. F-35 is already a done deal for the USA
  10. I know what you mean about maneuvers. I have very slowly and carefully maneuver above the behind the towed object then use RCS or very low engine thrust to avoid any crazy whipping or swinging. There is also an issue which switching back to the tracking station while the winches are attached
  11. The vessel I was towing had special mounting points for the magnets. I needed them places exactly on the points to avoid unstable flight characteristics. The magnets aren't mounted on docking ports and the only port I have is for refueling the tug. So far it flys ok but I've only done very basic maneuvers such as raise and lower apoapsis and preapsis. Gonna test a de-orbital burn today on discarded stage. Ill post pictures to show the end result!
  12. This is a test tug that I built using KAS. It features 4 winches and spare magnets. THe magnets have to be attached via EVA which adds a little bit of fun (or frustration) to the mission. So far the practical application for it would be limited to LKO debris clean up but I have plans to build a sort of carriage and use the Tug for the inter-planetary stage. The object the Tug is towing in the pictures is an early test for said carriage.
  13. Seems to be working out for the Marine Corps.
  14. Where are you getting your info about the aircrafts problems?
  15. I read them from time to time but I'm put off by the ones that are huge. As stated earlier huge ribbon stacks, and big company logo, and links to craft files. No offense to fellow kerbnauts who have these sort of sigs.
  16. The mods I had downloaded all seem to still work (didnt really care if they did or not), my station is right where I left it, the new ASAS works fine for me, and the new KSC and Mun look FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!! They even added a few new parts and a new IVA and the new update came out a day before my birthday. This is one OUTSTANDING update. Fantastic work Squad !
  17. I got drunk on a beach in Florida. In a few days imma cruise down the road and check out Kennedy Space Center!
  18. Ah I ask because I work on the parachutes, O2 systems , and various parts of the seat. In any case ,thank you for your service! It's awesome to see that KSP has such a wide variety of players.
  19. Air Force I presume? Did you ever have to punch out if you don't mind me asking?
  20. So thats what caused the station to de-orbit....
  21. haha nope, i was wondering if anyone would say that. Sadly no connection between the two.
  22. i dont think he has traveled a light year. According to the google he has traveled 0.00127335704 of a lightyear lol
