  1. Not at the moment, there are parts currently that have no crew but this is unofficial and not particularly effective. More flexibility in capsule and crew modification will come eventually but it is not a high priority at the moment.
  2. Yeah but not if they\'re a completely unknown developer and have almost no gameplay to demonstrate.
  3. I think that the amount is reasonable for their total budget but at the same time it is too much to ask for in one go on kickstarter; a more flexible funding system would have benefited them greatly.
  4. I supported this the other week, it looks really cool and i hope the funding is met. I think they overreached a bit though, and i doubt it\'ll make it, which is really frustrating.
  5. Damn that\'s disappointing. I wonder if a mechjeb style plugin could be made that acted like a GPS of sorts to show you where to go and when to stop.
  6. I had no idea that guide stuff was possible; I\'m fairly sure we can\'t change the spawn point yet though. We\'ll need to see how far you can go from the KSC in different directions before it gets bumpy, the test run i did the other day got to the trees a lot faster than i expected.
  7. No one who\'s been tapped has commented yet but i hope it\'s with pride and confidence rather than a slowly creeping paranoia that eventually consumes the soul.
  8. That\'s a common issue for ships but they have been overcome, i think surface wise aircraft carriers have been made, as for subs i know some underwater exploration have been undertaken but it is extremely difficult without cheat parts.
  9. The best wandering lumps to ever wander the earth!
  10. Updated the bundle to include a feed of NovaSilisko\'s posts.
  11. Yes i am. The problem is how far away it is, Building something to get the car off the runway is easy enough but to ship it halfway across the world just for it to explode in 5 seconds is a bit much.
  12. Interstellar may take a while but i expect a lot of the rest will be there in 6 months.
  13. I am defiantly going to be a part of this. From a quick look it seems like going directly west from the KSC is the best direction, even any other way inland gives you plenty of room to speed up and slow down, getting off the runway is tricky though. I\'m just about to try my first car out after a successful chute test on the runway. EDIT: The road coming off the runway is a great way of getting down but my turning circle is extremely poor.
  14. Also you need to put some RCS/stabilizers on the rocket for it to use. The best approach is to put a set of 4 controllable fins at the bottom and another 4 at the top, that was the ASAS gets the maximum force possible in all directions.
  15. That was really interesting, i am really looking forward to even higher resolution images being taken of the landing sites. Though it does always depress me a bit when i see old astronauts talking about their views on the space industry today.
  16. I believe that will change soon enough though as Harvester was talking about reentry estimation for rails orbits, although i am not sure if it will be part of the next update.
  17. I\'m all for primitive flight technology being supported for mods but i think that the campaign should start focusing on pre WWII level rocketry and the space centre should only start developing aircraft when the rockets have become advanced enough that it is applicable.
  18. I\'d been looking at this for ages debating whether to buy or not but the sale sealed the deal; i bought it to help me train for KSP missions as i was having trouble with landing/flying with RCS/rockets. it\'s been so much more than a training game though and i\'ve completely fallen in love with the flight simulation and visuals, I just wish there was more to do now that I\'ve finished all the maps and grown comfortable with the flying. If anyone else is on the fence like i was then i highly recommend you try it out and don\'t give up if you suck at first.
  19. I love these shots of Minmus in the sky. I cannot wait for other planets and objects. I hope the future observatory allows us to see further.
  20. Actually ramjets work best over supersonic speeds. But the lack of air explanation makes sense. Since there\'s only one ramjet engine, and there\'s no intake configuration possible, that means that if it stops working at a certain altitude/speed then there\'s nothing to be done about it; that will change in the future.
  21. The only concern i have of private space exploration as it\'s not easy to get them to do science properly, enabling NASA or others to do science easier is what we should be aiming for. That\'s why i hop moon/mars missions like that are run and manned by NASA but using SpaceX hardware.
  22. Yeah that\'s true, but the impression i had was that most of the systems were largely done and it was only this repeated testing of increasing complexity that they had left. I guess a couple extra years isn\'t so bad.
  23. Really? That\'s a little disappointing; with all their progress i thought they had a larger momentum than that.
  24. Yeah this was just the first test of the unmanned ISS resupply capability, it\'s not even filled with important cargo. I think the manned capsule flight test is scheduled for next year but i am not sure. In between then and now i expect them to do a load more resupply missions with more important stuff.
