I landed on Minmus a while back. Beautiful landing. Went to go EVA, but realized I had stupidly attached a sepratron over the hatch. Now all I can do is look at the landscape over the window. I'm thinking of sending a mission to somehow knock one of the sepratrons off the lander.

high ISP rockets are unusable without acceleration warp.

I did a burn with a deep space probe to escape the Sun's orbit. The probe had a single ion engine. It took over an hour. -
I haven't made anything large enough to experience any lag. I'm running an AMD FX-6300 at 3.5ghz.

I like how the Kerbals have only two stats, which currently mean nothing. Stupidity, and courage.

"Untangling Space Tape" got a chuckle out of me. -
Snack storage pods.

Running all stock. Game ran gloriously before. It now runs gloriously-er. Looks a bit nicer too. Also, loading at the launch pad seems to have been improved.

The US government has sacked the devs for fear that the North Koreans will use KSP to train their own people in the creation of ICBMs.

Try tilting your craft to about 90 degrees, or around a 45 degree angle from the horizon once it reaches, say, 10 km. Once you get out of the atmosphere, at say, 70-75 km, press M to bring up your map, wait until your ship reaches the apex of your trajectory, labeled as AP, or apoapsis. Then point your ship horizontally in the direction of travel and fire up the engines again until orbit is achieved.

Movie Space ships compared to the real deal
8bitbeard replied to Sleipnir's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Inertia and momentum doesn't seem to apply in the movies. Most don't even mention it, but Star Trek at least tries to explain it away with the magic-powered "Inertial Dampeners". -
So, my 4-year old son has been watching me play KSP, and...

That is awesome. My own son is four also, and KSP has sparked his imagination pretty hard too. I let him change the stages on my mark. "Free... Two... One... Uh-nition!.... BLAST OFF! We going to space!" -
You got your wish Mr. RawChicken. I managed that Münar mission last night. Took a couple of quicksave loads on the landing, but I landed it. I think I might even have enough fuel to get back to Kerbin.

Hello sirs and madams. My name is 8bitbeard, and I have a gigantic beard. It's kind of funny trying to stuff it all into the space helmet, as the seal isn't properly sealed, and it blocks my vision. I recently found out about Kerbal Space Program thanks to Steam. It was COMPLETELY off my radar until then, and on a whim I decided to try the demo, where I quickly lost myself to this incredible game. Five hours later, I made the decision to purchase it in full. I lost myself for five hours to the DEMO of an UNFINISHED game. Wow. The full completed game is going to destroy me. Not very many games just click like that with me. It sort of happened with Minecraft back in 2011. (I'm now pretty Minecrafted out.) It happened with The Elder Scrolls series back in 2002 with the release of Morrowind. It happened with Garry's Mod, the famous Half Life 2 modification. Now, it's happening with Kerbal Space Program. (Honestly, for pretty much the same reasons as Garry's Mod.) I've enjoyed plenty of different games in the mean time, but when a game really clicks, something magical happens. I can't stop thinking about it. I dream about it. I start watching things and reading things in order to learn more about it. Kerbal Space Program has done this to me. It's got me watching Youtube videos of NASA launches. It's got me researching the Apollo program. It's got me using words like apoapsis, periapsis, prograde and retrograde in my everyday speech. It has me annoying my family, friends, and coworkers with my constant space-babble. I look forward to watching this game grow and progress into the gigantic phenomenon it's destined to become. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to attempt another lunar mission. The last one lost us a few good men, and I don't want to see a repeat of that tragedy.
