You know, I've been meaning to do that for literally over a year. Thanks buddy.

Thanks for the offer, but I already made one to go online as a Patreon reward with illustrations drawn by a friend of mine... a project that unfortunately had to be placed on hold while my chosen illustrator was busy having her first child. You can also find it in the KSP section of AO3.

I might make another music video. What song should I do?

This seems like a natural candidate: -
Well, Kerbals do have a tendency to say "Kerm" in contexts where humans would use "God".

Eh. I was in school with a guy who got a literal Darwin Award (remember that site?) for posing for a picture with a lit firecracker clenched between his teeth, which he failed to spit out in time. (Have I mentioned I'm from a town so ghastly that I willingly moved to Luton to escape it? Because I did.)

On another note, I take it from the sudden flurry of likes I got on Spacebattles that at least one of you found the sequel.

They do however present the slight logistical problem of getting the Orion-powered vessel into orbit in the first place, without letting off a bunch of nuclear warheads inside your own biosphere.

Ah, yes. Chlorine Trifluoride. (Pity they haven't discovered red mercury yet, of course. :D) On a serious note, that last line... Wow. Puts it all into perspective, doesn't it?

I have been informed that linking to it directly is emphatically discouraged. However, you can find it quite easily on Archive Of Our Own; the KSP section is rather small. Oh, and it's a crossover, but I won't spoil the surprise by saying what with.

Which shows how much of a rookie Lemke was; most large predators prefer carrion, unless it's gone really manky, because it can't run away or try to gore them. Unless those thornberries smell like something that's so decayed that not even scavengers can eat it.

Hey, in his defence, the government of the country he lives in does currently resemble a terrifying hybrid of Game of Thrones and Downton Abbey.

I think there's also a question of training. Like you said, Ornie tried to bring it back under control instead of ejecting straight away; someone not used to operating on such a tiny budget that losing the first prototype makes it very unlikely you'll get to build a second would have bailed out as soon as everything started going pear-shaped.

Thanks KSK. And fair warning, that story contains a certain amount of content the official KSP forum moderators deemed harmful to minors.

I don't know if it's Imgur or BT Openzone but I cannot get these pictures uploaded for love nor money, so here they are on Dropbox. Of particular note is the prototype rocket motor made from a modified blowtorch (which is now canon for the origins of the LV-1!), the lower half of a space suit that really ought to have been painted green and the infamous Space Toilet.

Those of you following Beyond The Next Frontier elsewhere on t'internet may also be interested to know that after much debate, and with some reluctance, we both agreed that going with a Nemesis The Warlock crossover would be a bad idea. I will also create an Imgur album of the many, many pictures I took today as soon as I have the energy. And thank you, KSK. It's the first time I've had a chance to talk about my story ideas face to face for a long time. And next time the first round's on me!

Well, in that case, look out for a guy who (I'm reliably informed) looks a bit like Harry Potter with a beard and a beer gut wearing a brown leather jacket.
