  1. Really? I think the most important feature above all others is proper aerodynamics, it will completely change the way we build rockets in game, not to mention the wonders it will do for planes.
  2. yeah I'm trying to get mine over to steam now as I had been downloading it for nearly an hour from the store when it failed due to too many users. I'm screwed for now at least as when I tried to transfer it, it didn't actually give me a key, just a blank space, so now I can't get it on steam or off the store
  3. You stay up all night waiting for the release of the latest patch
  4. They don't have my favourite font on the forum, Calibri is clearly the best though!
  5. Surly putting the first man into space constitutes a win? The USSR won the space race in my mind by putting the first man into orbit.
  6. I'm also getting this bug, I made a new install and re-downloaded KerbTown and this, but the problem persists :/
  7. I have read a few pieces on "beaming down" solar energy from collectors in space, most recently in the New Scientist. In that though they describe a problem which is not immediately apparent. Only a set amount of energy reaches the earth and by adding to this (by basically expanding the area) will lead to the earth catching more energy than it reflects/absorbs and therefore, slowly, it will heat the planet. I'd imagine you would need several of these satellites to even begin noticing any differences but nevertheless it's certainly something to think about before everyone starts putting up these kinds of satellites.
  8. Yeah you have to be in EVA though, I think that's where the conflicting answers are coming from
  9. Yeah, sorry for the really slow reply. A set at the underneath (only at the rear as it looks like the nose already has downward thrust) should allow it it translate in any direction. The new pictures look great by the way
  10. You are indeed going to need a couple more RCS ports(?) I think only enough to give the back end some upwards thrust, otherwise I can't see how you'll translate vertically
  11. the vertical velocity in your screen shot is over 15m/s, that's too high and you would just end up impacting moments after the screenshot, you vertical velocity needs to be much lower
  12. I've got this game, it's pretty good fun but you really want to play it with friends or people with a mic at the very least.
  13. It would be so much better in my opinion if they were dry, or if the construction facility requires not only the mass of your ship in spare parts but also all the fuel required to fill its tanks up (that is probably harder to do than just making them empty). Either way I also look forward to playing with this again, I can now build crazy ships without having to launch rockets that would clearly never even break the atmosphere if not for kerbal aerodynamics.
