  1. Not sure. Never use curse. Always ckan and kerbalstuff.
  2. It's a mess. Most mods on ckan link to kerbal stuff for download. Ends in an error.
  3. Thank you for the reply guys. I'd still like to voice my opinion though. Steam Workshop. Opinion over. Thank you.
  4. You trivialize yourself which is reflected back onto yourself. The ability to live without needing to breathe.
  5. Just bought a 12 inch Dobsonian telescope! Friday can not come fast enough haha. I have been an off and on telescope enthusiast for years and I have always wanted a "big" dob (big for my budget lol), I am finally getting one. Anyone have a dobsonian? or a telescope in general? Care to share some pics of your scope, or your collection of eyepieces/filters? I will be sure to post a few, once mine arrives Friday.
  6. I am about to buy a 12 inch Dobsonian. I have never had a dob, but always wanted a 10 or 12. Making the purchase tomorrow. Won't be sleeping much tonight.... haha
  7. Every EULA on earth is bogus. You just happened to read this one.... Early Access game StarForge just went down this road. People went crazy. But the devs are only trying to cover their tails in case of an accident or something. if a tornado blew squad off this earth, then thats all folks... KSP would be done... then what? your going to sue because of it?? Now lets all hope that never happens... But they have to do something to protect themselves. This whole world is sue happy. If something bad happened, would you also want to be sued? heck no. Now on the brighter side of things, EULA's are still unproven in a court of law. and Squad is in a legal agreement with Steam and Valve to finish KSP.
  8. Hey thanks for the vid link. That was a good lecture.
  9. hahahaha lol. this about killed me. I think we will end the discussion on a good note. Nice talkin to you Cheebsta, might have to do it again sometime. and if you didn't notice, i am a skeptic of everything. Ten minutes with Einstein and i'd be saying "nope, you're doing it wrong" lol
  10. Hey Ethan. Where to begin.... instead of typing a ten page article on how to do the above, I will instead leave some links to everything you asked. if you have any further questions, feel free to ask. (start here) Mega Thread of Tutorial links- http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/28352-The-Drawing-Board-A-library-of-tutorials-and-other-useful-information Orbit (simple terms) - http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Tutorial:_How_to_Get_into_Orbit Orbit (technical terms) - http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Tutorial:_Basic_Orbiting_(Technical) Orbit (advanced terms) - http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Tutorial:_Advanced_Orbiting Docking- http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Docking Docking (from the forums with some pics)- http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/32905-Beginner-How-to-dock-in-3-easy-steps You can also search YouTube for some tutorials, Scott Manley has a video for just about anything KSP related - https://www.youtube.com/user/szyzyg They might help a little better than just reading how to do it. Also, stop by the official Kerbal Space Program Twitch.tv channel to see some live streaming of KSP, its a good place to learn some tips and techniques. - http://www.twitch.tv/ksptv Hope this helps
  11. welcome to the wonderful wild world of the KSP forums. My name in the outside world is Jeremy. but in real life i go by Buzzkil, or Buzz for short.
  12. yep i lost interest in Halo after 2. the first two were awesome. Man i remember getting my Xbox and Halo.... can you believe it was so flippin long ago.... holy crap. But after 2 i lost all interest. turned into another regurgitated game over and over. and don't get me wrong, i played the others and tried to like them... just couldn't. I like being able to aim down the sights and Halo never evolved.
  13. Nothing ever indicated that it would come out after the marathon any way. I think its more logical that the marathon was because of the Steam sale, not because of the update. What better way to sell your game than showing off some up coming do-dads.
  14. i dont even have hype... the new SAS is cool (but i rarely use it because it has always wasted RCS so i doubt i will change my ways), and the new VAB and SPH. but other than that, i don't expect to be blown away or anything. The new parts coming have already been in my version... its called KW rocketry, KSPX parts pack, and all the other mods. :/
  15. Yes the over used game mechanics is a big problem. been the same game forever... But unrealistic in the means of RPG's and grenades and c4 don't do anything but hurt people, not a single chip in the ground or a wall, bushes and stuff are like walking into walls (minus the 10 in each map that are 1 foot tall and can be crouched in), gold/tiger stripe/diamond/all other stupid weapon camos do not represent anything realistic in warfare. and the size of the maps is a big factor. you can literaly spawn in, stand still, and someone will be there in less than 30 seconds. I like my warfare as realistic as i can get it.
  16. Battlefield is such a better game. but as more and more people see it as a better game, more and more people like the OP is talking about join in... and the "new" run and gun style battlefield is adopting is not helping... like the close quarters DLC. pure garbage to me, but it was voted as the best DLC for BF3. I also do not play COD. I hate it. It is so unrealistic.
  17. of course it was never flat.... hahaha but just like you said, our knowledge and understanding changes.... the current laws of thermodynamincs are nothing more than what we understand right now. The nature of things is something we do not fully understand. We have theories, and some are hard to disprove, but that does not make them disprovable.
  18. The ITER or International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor is a project that is constructing the worlds largest experimental tokamak nuclear fusion reactor in France. The ITER has been under construction for a while now, since 2007. They are now setting up some massive cranes to start building the complex. By 2020 ITER will be up and running, producing 500 megawatts of power for 500 seconds while only consuming 50 megawatts. So thats an output 10x the input. By 2050 Europe wants power from nuclear fusion on the grid, if ITER is successful.... but it will be. They have been testing it for over 20 years. A mostly unknown project called JET or Joint European Torus was built in the 80's. ITER is based of JET. JET has been operating for over 20 years without much public knowledge. The only problem with JET is that it doesn't have a high output compared to its input. So a joint consortium of nations will build the ITER, the European Union (EU), India, Japan, China, Russia, South Korea and the United States (US senators cut funding for 2014 due to department of energy's unreliable projected funds needed). The EU, as host party for the ITER complex, is contributing 45% of the cost, with the other six parties contributing 9% each. If ITER is successful, then a project named DEMO will step up. DEMO is the plans for a nuclear fusion reactor based of ITER and will be the middle man between experimental and commercial nuclear fusion. DEMO will be bigger and produce power at better efficiency than ITER. DEMO hopes to be operational by 2033, so 13 years after ITER is up and running. What do you think about all of this? Can we ditch fossil fuels for cleaner more sustainable energy? 19. but you have to keep in mind the things that have changed. The world was flat once upon a time, the atom was unsplittable once upon a time... We are entering a new age in science. Dark matter is getting closer and closer to being conquered. They are breaking ground with the Higgs Boson. The Tokamak is ever so close to construction (just looked it up again, and construction is already going). All things change over time.
  20. so amazing. its impossible to think that we are the only life in the universe. The furthest object Hubble has seen was estimated at 13 billion light years away... imagine going light speed for 13 billion years.... a light year is almost 6 trillion miles, so mulitply that by 13 billion and thats how far away it is. we are simply a speck of dust in a very very big bucket of dirt...
  21. hey! thats my avatar! lol. on the grand scale of things....we are infinitely tiny...
  22. ooohhhh Neil Pugstrong. or Pug Aldrin... 6/10. pugs....
  23. well they made a sheep glow in the dark using flourescent proteins from a jelly fish... so anything is possible.
  24. i have dabbled in amateur rockets with my dad for years. Our last one was made out of a custom aluminum body and some good ole ammonium nitrate for oxidizer and magnesium powder for fuel. My dad is a pipefitter and has always been the go to guy for my custom rocket bodies. I would love to share some pics and stuff but what we are doing is 100% illegal here in illinois... i mean mexico... Its actually illegal for me to be handling the fuel since we are not farmers or chemists or licensed professionals. sshhh.... Our last one was our best yet and it carried my dads Casio G'zOne Commando smartphone in the nose. We use the phone to find the rocket body via GPS. It was buried half way up the body in a field. We use a variety of home made ignitors. one is a christmas light bulb with the tip chipped off and you fill it with gun powder (dont break the filament) seal it off and then all you have to do is plug it in an outlet. bang. Another is a customized high performance spark plug. The hardest part is getting the fuel. If you can't get fuel, buy some tannerite of the internet. Its a type of reactive exploding target for shooting (ammonium nitrate and aluminum oxide powder. Tannerite by itself does not make a good propellant, nor does it ignite, but a few google seaches and you know the rest... lol Disclaimer : kids dont try this at home, or at your neighbors, or at a friends or any where.... these chemicals are highly volatile and dangerous. Rockets are bombs if not done properly. Bombs are not rockets.... You can, and likely will blow your garage up or blow your hands off... Do not handle near open flames. Do not handle while smoking. Do not handle at all since you have no idea what you are doing. We didn't start off with the big boy toys... we started with little model rockets and worked our way up over a period of years.
