I like the game I got. I'm having fun. There were a few surprises, a lot to relearn but that hasn't stopped me from enjoying my head off. I'm sad to see so many people unable to enjoy this game in it's current state. Is that Squads fault? The testers? I don't think so. It's impossible to make everybody happy. I'm sure a lot of mods will pop-up in the near future that will taylor this game to everybody's taste. In the mean time; let's be civil and polite. I'm sure everything will work out eventually.

The "You know you're playing a lot of KSP when..." thread

I was watching a video of Nasa's TDRS-L launch just now and I tried to adjust the camera to look at it from the other side... -
In The Netherlands we also use the US keyboard lay-out. To get accents, simply use the US-International lay-out in your OS and you can get accents bij typing the ['] first and the [e] key next to get é for example.

Today I made my first landing outside of Kerbin on Minmus in careermode. Still getting used to building rockets with less parts but I'm slowly unlocking the techtree.
-
Use this mod to add Mechjeb to all capsules. Works in careermode as well: http://www.kerbalspaceprogram.com/mechjeb-and-remotetech-for-all/

The first update i have actually been disappointed in
MickG replied to GalaxyGryphon's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I knew I signed up for an alpha and I will not complane until the devs state this game is final. In the mean time I enjoy what is there and enjoy it very much, despite the occasional bug. If any player cannot handle it, stay away from alpha releases and buy the game when it's final. THEN you can complane about bugs. -
I used the new wheels on my modular Munbase and it kept flipping over even going just 2m/s. I put the other wheels on it and it was much better. My guess is the new wheels don't do well with low gravity. They worked just fine when I tested the design on Kerbin. I suggest you try the other wheels.

I was controlling my spacestation last night when I received a steamchat. I used shift-tab to answer and when I came back the engine on my docked fuel transfer ship was on. It ripped itself loose from the station, taking a dockingport with it and was on it's way to an orbit around the sun. I had to get the station back in the correct orbit by launching another mission. The lesson learned; Don't taskswitch while controlling ships

All games on Steam update automaticly unless you configured them not to. So, you should get the new version from Steam. I had .20 last night even before I read it was out.
-
That was obviously intentional to save weight Cool mission report.
-
Just place them somewhere the game allows you and then try again on the spot you wish to attach them. That works most of the time...

Ik parked my munrover on top of a rocket. It lands like an ordinary rocket but since it has the landinggear on one side only, it tips over on it wheels. I did this after testing various kinds of skycranes which all where too unstable for save landings. The bottom part with the landinggear gets decoupled after it stands on it's wheels. The front one is a larger version with room for 4 kerbanauts and a driver.

A boat might be the easiest solution but I must say I realy like the airship Good job!

Last night, I send three Kerbals back home from the Mun. The capsule landed in the ocean and I thought it would be cool if I could recover them. I tried to build a chopper with the B9 mod pack, but that killed more Kerbals then I lost during my whole spaceprogram:huh:. I was wondering if any of you guys ever tried this and what vehicle you used to recover landed Kerbals.

I crashed into Ike on my way to Duna. It just apeared in my flightpath and I had not enough time to slow down

How make interplanetary inaction using MechJeb 2
MickG replied to Pawelk198604's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I usualy make the interplanetary injection burn myself using the phase angles calculator (http://ksp.olex.biz/) and use Mechjeb 2 to fine tune aproach at the ascending node. This saves loads of time since Mechjeb usualy plans the burn hours or even days later. -
How to change mission/ship type
MickG replied to XennoX's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Rightclick the controlmodule and select 'rename vessel'.
