[1.12.x] Transfer Window Planner v1.8.0.0 (April 11)
forenci replied to TriggerAu's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
No worries, sir! Speaking for myself, I just appreciate all the hard work you do on the game itself and the mods you make as well! -
Oh yeah, it's a possibility, but there's definitely a reason it hasn't been done so far. It should be very challenging.
-
It's still doable. In my opinion, SSTOs should be really hard. There's a reason it's not a viable option IRL. I think making it into LKO, docking, refueling, going elsewhere, and then maybe docking again for refueling should be a necessity.
-
So much for the "KSP will get killed in reviews" stuff. While there were legitimate concerns, I was SHOCKED how negative people were about the entire process of Squad pushing to 1.0.
-
Man, I love it! Especially during re-entry. It feels so intense.
-
Hype intensifies.
-
Ah, the life of an SRB. Just attach a Kerbal to it and it will feel just like home.
-
Sir, I do not crash space ships. I merely land them with such force they just *happen* to explode when they touch the ground!
-
I find it odd the OP took something genuine and well-intentioned and somehow made it seem like it was a bad thing. I'm not worried at all about what comes after 1.0. In fact, I'm excited for the possibilities. If anything, 1.0 has proven that the devs are willing to outsource additional help to add features that may have taken much longer to implement due to lack of developers. I think that's awesome. Next big thing I'm looking forward to: multiplayer. No idea when that will be, but I'm super excited for it. I think it will change the game completely - in a great way. Can't wait to build space stations with friends.
-
I keep quitting because of this one single reason.

Yeah, SSTOs are pretty fun to build (especially landing them as majorjim said), but overall their use is pretty limited. Even some of the best designed SSTOs tend to carry up a fraction of what a rocket can. I like building shuttles though. They are quite challenging and fun to use. With stage recovery they also can be quite cost effective, unlike the real Space Shuttle. It's the best of both worlds: the fun of launching a rocket and the fun of landing a spaceplane/SSTO. -
I think it's a great thing. Plus it sounds like there will be a sort of "hard cap" on how much science you can accumulate, which will hopefully stop abuse of time-warp. I think that's one thing you're overlooking, and if you care about "acknowledgement" I definitely think that was it. I think in the future with potential life support and maybe adding some mechanics that require you to bring new science experiments/take old ones back (similar to what ISS does) would REALLY flesh it out. That way, sure you can time warp, but you need to keep your Kerbals stocked with food, science experiments, etc. How fun would it be to get an actual space station going that you have to manage, supply, and maintain? I do it with mods already and it's a blast. Adding it to stock would be even better.

This is going to be the longest week ever! On the plus side, my semester ends Friday, so it's going to be all Kerbal all the time starting Monday!
-
Oh man, is he the one that does those? I laugh so hard every time I watch them! Wish he did more, but I imagine they must take a ton of effort to do.
-
I think it's okay for best up-and-coming (after all, they might not be well known), and so I think if it increases people's awareness to some new/different channels and that's not a bad thing. BUT I CAN BEG TOO IF YOU NEED ME TO!

I'm failing too hard on this Crossword puzzle..
