Is it even possible to check temp in a vacuum.
-
I was doing a test mission with a probe and when I got to my apoapsis I was bored so I clicked on the unmanned capsule. It said Crew Report with a button. I clicked on it and got a crew report for 5 science. I think that you should not be able to get a crew report if you don't have a crew.

Does the Community Want Better Aerodynamics?
Skyrunner27 replied to spudcosmic's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I don't think an option should be made. A game is a player doing things with a certain amount of restraints. Also FAR as I have seen it will not effect large rockets(I am just going off of others who use FAR). The current aerodynamics model is holding the community down. While doing nothing to lift the community up. I would take it as far as to add damaging reentry effects because right now it is too easy to just recover science experiments. Also reentry has became boring about 3 weeks after .19 dropped. -
We need a "Game Launcher"
Skyrunner27 replied to TYRT's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
No, your title is miss leading I would suggest changing it. -
You could say the same thing about pointing a laser pointer into a cockpit on landing, but as much as people know you are blinding the pilot they still do it none the less.

I did have a escape tower on my Minmus missions, and I even used them once to abort a mission with a stage failure. As an added plus the retro rockets I put on the main stage also provided a method to deorbit my debris.

How important is a resource system to you?
Skyrunner27 replied to SlinkyBlue's topic in KSP1 Discussion
All we have seen from Squad is that flowchart and a couple of parts, and IIRC we have not seen any of the resources in action. Yet we are continuing to make assumptions of how fun the system is. The flowchart is just a chart,an idea, just like multiplayer right now. So can we wait to see how multiplayer will flesh out before jumping to conclusions. -
Pretty sure most of multiplayer will be private servers. Oh and here is a point mentioning if you don't like multiplayer don't use it.

Why don't we see more multi-national space programs?
Skyrunner27 replied to Yru0's topic in Science & Spaceflight
That has nothing to do with any of the space agencies but more to do with the media that surrounds it. Most people only think of the ISS of Shuttle-Mir when they think of space cooperation. The Idea of a continuous cooperation and not just sticking random stuff together is a wonder for most people. Also it uses nationalism to boosrt their ratings by saying [insert country here] is making huge steps in spaceflight and making everyone feel great pride. -
This does not mean anything. It is like asking what form of transportation is more desired based on the fact that more people have road in a car than a Soyuz. The KMP mod is much younger and a lot less stable than Kethane, so therefore more people are going to use Kethane. In conclusion, I find your complete argument is invalid.

Why don't we see more multi-national space programs?
Skyrunner27 replied to Yru0's topic in Science & Spaceflight
They don't have a need to team up is basically the point. Why join with someone else when you can hire the other guy to launch your stuff and you still have full control over it. Sort of what the UK and Canada did with their first satellites and America. Also most of the areas besides North America and Europe are made of countries that hate each other. -
Honestly, I have no idea what the major thing that .23 is bringing. I mean most updates have a theme, .22 Science .21 SAS .20 Seats/Flags .19 Rovers .18 Docking .17 Planets etc. but I can't single out the one major thing about this update. Most of the stuff I will use once in a blue moon.

While the community does have some voice in the making of this game as seen with what just happened with the KMP mod. Sometimes the community doesn't have the full vision that the developers do. We like to complain that one feature didn't get in( for resources I feel the community forgot the docking incident and planet incidents) and don't look at what we got. Basically, Squad listens somewhat but in the end of the day it is there goal for the game over ours.

What irks you the most about movie space travel?
Skyrunner27 replied to Tex's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Movies having ships leave their engines on but still maintain some sort of orbit around a celestial body. -
Come get me without oxygen.

People who fail to really learn about something and they either create their own evidence or they use a rumor they heard to defend their claim. Especially when it involves space flight. I am tired of telling people that rocket launches are not the thing eating up the national budget. The worst was when someone tried to tell me it takes $60 to fill up his car so space flight must be expensive because of the fuel. Then again this is the same guy who claims martians are real and that is why we never have been to Mars. Despite me telling him about the four rovers.

Like the above guy, this has made me feel really interested in doing a modern day based space program.

future location of buildings
Skyrunner27 replied to Helix935's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I feel like there should be a building on the opposite side of the runway. For what? I don't exactly know. Maybe a weather tower or something -
Stuck with the above posters avatar (Redux)
Skyrunner27 replied to Tidus Klein's topic in Forum Games!
The door opens at floor 32. I notice that I appear to be a bit too big for the elevator. Pushing myself through the door, I begin to hear the slow sound of the cracking of bones and the tiny explosion of a jetpack. Snugly in, I feel the piercing pain of a a energy beam piercing my side. It slowly stops due to my state of tranquil grace. And so I finally get some peace and quiet. -
