Suggestions are always welcome And I had completely overlooked the thrusters, I need to do my research better I've learnt a lot by looking into the different project, but I know I've only just begun. I'm still learning how to do awesome aesthetics in KSP as well, looking a lot to other designers. I never fiddle with their craft files, I always build my craft from the ground up, replicating what I've seen on my own. I think that's the best way to learn stuff. So with that mentioned, I can't really take credit for the rover bodies, I saw that on Halfury's Salyut 1, which is why I mentioned him I'll post an update of some craft in a few weeks, including this. But right now real life demands most of my time, so priorities... If I could only play KSP for a living

Hm, so docking ports and cubic struts really don't like each other... I had a docking port directly attached to a cubic strut in a previous version, also in combination with a nosecone. That was on the orbital module, and also, like now, it looked way better that the six RCS tanks. But as expected, that spazzed out when docked. So now, I tried moving the strut back, so the new version had it on the descend module. It should have been fine, since the strut was connected to a decoupler, and the docking port to the probe core. But alas, to no avail. It definitely has to do with the docking port and strut combo, not the nosecone. Maybe I'll try strutting the strut, see if that helps. Yo dawg, we heard you like struts, so we put some struts in yo struts, so they can strut while they strut *sorry couldn't resist *

Thanks guys For those interested, I uploaded the mini Soyuz & Progress you see docked to this station. Progress now has the new parts, as they were from KSPX before .21. You can find them here

These are my two-man Soyuz and unmanned Progress replicas I use for my Salyut stations. The launcher still needs some work, because it isn't accurate enough yet. But that will be for the next update It has a very tight fuel budget, but a decent pilot should get it into a 75km orbit. If you're having trouble getting to orbit just jettison the LES and fairing sooner, so you don't have to drag those along. Before launch, double tap 0 to lock a whole bunch of gimbals. 1 activates the solar panels and antenna, 2 jettisons the LES and the fairing. When launching the Soyuz, make sure you control it from the probe core. This is because I made it a 2-man craft by clipping 2 pods together, which results in a slightly turned artificial horizon. Soyuz Progress Also, I've tried replacing the adapter on the Progress with a nosecone and cubic strut. Looks way more like the real thing and doesn't give any problems... until you dock. Then the craft starts pivoting around the cubic strut, and when undocked again stays frozen in the twisted position it was undocked in, sometimes even explodes after undocking. Anybody know what causes this? I do use clipping a lot, through the debug menu, is it just that or is it an actual bug? **EDIT** As you can see, the problem is mostly fixed. The orbital module looks way better and doesn't make stuff go wonky. However, when docking the Soyuz craft, the steering will often get stuck. This is easily fixed by switching to another craft or going back to the Space Center.

The New Stock Repository Version 0.21

Salyut 6 Kuropollo + separate CSM -
Saturn IB - CSM replica First stage runs dry at 8km, second at 40km. The CSM then does the remainder and ends up in a 75km orbit with about 800m/s delta-V left for orbital manoeuvring in LKO. Gravity turn should start after the first stage is jettisoned, between 8 and 11km. Press 0 before launch to deploy the antenna on the craft and the LES, and press 1 during the gravity turn to jettison the LES. There's an ASAS module for those who like using mechjeb, and an RTG for extra power during the night, both clipped into the body of the CSM. Perhaps I'll modify this craft so it reaches orbit with more delta-V, but that's a pretty low priority on the list. Craft file

Whoops, forgot the most important part There you go, have fun

The Salyut programme was the first space station program undertaken by the Soviet Union, which consisted of a series of four crewed scientific research space stations (Salyut 1, 4, 6 and 7) and two crewed military reconnaissance space stations (Salyut 3 and 5) over a period of 15 years from 1971 to 1986. It was, on the one hand, designed to carry out long-term research into the problems of living in space and a variety of astronomical, biological and Earth-resources experiments, and on the other hand this civilian program was used as a cover for the highly secretive military Almaz stations, which flew as well under the Salyut designation. First things first, I can't take full credit for these craft. Salyut 4 and 6 based on Halfury's Salyut 1, and I've included my version of it as well. The lovely Proton launcher used to launch them was built by Darth Lazarus, with some minor aesthetic modifications. The last stage has retros and a probe core for deorbiting. In a 75km orbit, the retros should push it at least into a decaying orbit. You can choose to push the station higher before you decouple. However, the retros will then not suffice and you'll need some vapours left in the stage to deorbit it completely (or blow it up from the tracking station). The stations are meant to be sent up without kerbals (they have a probe core), and have one or two jr. docking ports (because my Soyuz en Progress have those), but with a quick fix you could strap on a normal sized one if you like. When launching, press 2 to drop all of the fairing bits. Be careful though, if you jettison them in thick atmosphere they will fall back due to the air resistance and damage the station. Once in orbit, press 1 to activate the station. Each station is also self-propelled, it has LFO engines and a significant amount RCS. Salyut 1 Salyut 4 Salyut 6/7 *Soyuz and Progress capsules not included

The Kuropollo, yet another Apollo replica!
Kurotenshi posted a topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I present you: The Kuropollo, brought to you by Kurotech Inc. And (almost) stock replica of the Apollo missions. You’ll need the Rockomax X200-48 tank and Inline Advanced Stabilizer, micro, both from KSPX, to open it, which is included in the download. I usually aim for all stock, but I’d forgotten KSPX (what’s left of it anyway) isn’t stock I could take them out, but both of them are positioned very central and would have to be surgically removed. Anyway, here it is on the launch pad: Launch profile: 1. Double tap 0 to lock gimbal (and extend the antenna on the LES) 2. Blast skyward until the first stage runs out at 11 km 3. Initiate gravity turn and press 1 to jettison LES 4. The second stage will run dry around 33km, press 2 to jettison the fairing (either before or after staging, doesn’t really matter) 5. Circularize orbit at 75km and voila! Mission profile: 1. Undock the docking port of the LM (not the decoupler), then dock the right end of CSM back on the LM 2. Point retrograde while controlling from the CSM and stage the booster away. It will probably have some leftover fuel, but the mission is designed to fly on the CSM engine alone. The sepratrons should be enough to push it away and out of orbit, crashing back to Kerbin. The engine fairing can then be decoupled, aiming a bit more to the ground as it'll fly off with quite a speed. 3. Activate the engine of the CSM, make sure the LM engine is off, and head for the Mun 4. After the injection burn, pump 5 tanks from the descend stage back into the CSM. Balance the three remaining tanks. This will give you about 1000m/s delta-V to land 5. At some point during the trip, EVA two kerbals to the LM (although the LM does have a probe core and could land without, but what’s the point in that?) 6. Aim for a munar orbit of about 30km, undock the LM and go in for landing 7. Once landed, plant your flag! When the crew is back inside and ready to depart, deactivate the engine on the descend stage and throttle up. When you stage, the ascend stage will be launched up a bit, so make sure everything is ready to go when you do. Also, due to a lot of clipping going on, you’ll have to pump fuel over to the toroidal tank as you fly. Just right-click both and leave it pumping. You’ll have about 900m/s delta-V to achieve an orbit. The CSM should have enough left to rendezvous if necessary. The LM has no RCS, so docking is done with the CSM. If you have some fuel left in the LM, pump it over, but leave some fumes to deorbit it later. The LM can deorbit without crew (hence the probe core, somewhere in there). Decouple the LM after the crew has been transferred and return home. Pictures of a complete mission with an older version can be viewed here Craft file -
Project Apollo replica, including Skylab, Soyuz, Salyut 1 and 6 (inspired by Halsfury) can be viewed here: http://vitartamas.imgur.com/ There are some non-existent refuelling stations in there too, ignore those if you wish so =P I would have posted the 2 correct albums and pictures of both Salyut stations separately, if I only knew how to post an Imgur album (probably being a bit dumb here). The other option was posting them all, but that would have made the post a bit too image-heavy =D

This 'little' space station draws its inspiration from the ISS . It's currently built out of 10 different modules, but expansion is planned. Suggestions and ideas for new modules are always welcomed. I've only put the modules themselves in the file to lighten the load, as my game is heavily modded. If requested I'll upload the entire thing with a list of all mods, so you only have to launch and dock these puppies. A few modded parts were used for this station: Kosmos SSPP - http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/kosmos-tks-spacecraft/ B9 Aerospace - http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/0-19-1-b9-aerospace-pack-release-2/ KSPX Parts Expansion - http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/0-18-4-kspx-parts-expansion/ NovaPunch - http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/novapunch-remix-pack/ The station itself doesn't have too many modparts, so again if requested, I'll upload a partial pack with all the parts needed to load the different modules. The KSS in orbit The Main Hub so far note: It's not an attempt to copy the ISS, just a Kerbal equivalent with some resemblance to its real world counterpart) Craft files can be downloaded here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/r6oryv0xw9j2sry/KSS%20Modules.zip?v=0mcnc Anything else?
