  1. Impressive! Please make more! If I may add my own critique, I think it could use a tad more "purple" in it(perhaps if some of the rocks in the foreground had a slightly more pronounced purple tint), given how ridiculously purple Eve is in-game. Again, very nice. I sure couldn't do that! Universe

  6. Hey guys, I'm currently working on a cinematic in which I need, for several scenes, the kerbals to be scared. Currently, my kerbals are all on Vall; and as with just about any kerbal, once landed, all they do is laugh, regardless of whether or not they screamed the whole way down. And it doesn't really help that Jeb is among them. I need that petrified look of terror for about two minutes worth of footage. So...do any of you know how to "scare" a kerbal (aside from killing them)? I am willing to edit the persistants.sfs file if that is what it takes. Any and all ideas are welcome! Thanks, Universe
  7. Here is another bump! Part three has, after a VERY long time, been completed and uploaded! So far, I've spent about one hour per minute of footage....let me know if something needs improving! Universe
  8. Best friend told me that his friend at work was playing some random space game. I asked him what the name was, and he couldn't remember...about a week later he gave me a piece of paper with "kerbal space program" written on it. About a week after that, I actually looked it up. When I realized what it was all about..... My mind exploded. And I bought it!!
  9. Here is a scene that is currently in the works: I am trying to replicate the mission control from the KSP trailer, "meanwhile at the kerbal space center." This is an image of the scene so far, sans kerbals. I plan on making a short (15 second) animation of the area for a cinematic I am currently working on. Universe
  10. Oh my goodness! As said above...YOU GOT ENOUGH POWER??!? Apparently, judging by those gees that you're pulling, your space agency enjoys scraping two dimensional kerbal remains out of the seats!!!!! ....and I usually settle for two to three separatrons........

  14. Whoops!! I had no idea....I thought I had an original idea happening! I hope its okay if I use that...I didn't know it was taken! Hey, by the way, does anyone know how to actually play a movie clip, ie .mp4, in blender? I want to actually render a short clip of the television set, with a clip actually playing on it. I'm using the cycles render engine..so far, I haven't found anything useful on how to do this. Do any of you guys know how? Again...some great work happening here! Wow! Universe
  15. Alright, Here is a preliminary "hair test" on my kerbal model. It is not in any way final...yet. I think I am heading in the right direction for what I had originally wanted, more or less. I used weight paint to distribute the hair. It is rather uneven; I am trying to smooth it out, but without much luck. I'll keep working at it! Blender is fun! Universe
  16. Hey, I used separate materials to color his clothes--honestly, I have no idea as of ye how to texture anything.... Thanks anyway for the reply. I suppose I would be willing to settle for "real" hair (the same stuff rewdew uses), with it only being very short and close to the kerbal's head. I'll see what I can do!
  17. Hey Guys, I am currently working on finishing my kerbal model that I shared a few pages ago. I want to give them hair (as jebediah has in the picture directly above this post), but I honestly have no idea how. I don't want my model to have 3-D hair the way rewdew's models do (no offense meant ), as I would like my model to look as similar to the in-game model as possible--In game, the hair is a part of the kerbal's head. Does anybody know how I might go about doing this, or does anyone have a tutorial they could recommend? Thanks guys. There are some pretty sweet pictures happening here! Universe

  20. Here is a cinematic that I've been working on for the past few weeks. This is only the first part of what I hope will be more. It is about the first mission to Jool, and, the first mission to head off to Vall. This is what I have so far, my video editing software was starting to freeze due to the length! AND PART TWO: And now, here is a trailer for Part 3....the kraken will be coming into the story soon!   21. Here is a quick update on my Kerbal model: I'm fairly happy with it for the time being....however, now I need to rig the thing...no idea how I'm gonna motivate myself to do that!!! I also need to add hair to it. I'm kinda thinking that I would like to add the same kind of "hair" to it that the kerbals have in-game...that's another thing I have yet to learn! Universe

  24. Here is the first render I did a few weeks back: the second: And here is what I am working on currently: I did this all from scratch, using front and side views of a kerbal from kerbalizer. I'm pretty happy with the model so far, however I am not quite sure how to go about adding in a mouth to him. Once I've given him a mouth, I'll add clothes and such. RewDew, how did you add the mouth to your kerbal models? Thanks, Universe.
