  1. The telecon is at 3pm EDT. So, not in a few minutes.
  2. It indicates that there is no obvious "smoking gun" in the data, so they are having to comb through evvery bit of it to reconstruct what may have happened. That could take weeks.
  3. He's said in recent interviews that reuse of the F9 second stage is off the table. SpaceX is still planning for full reuse on the BFR.
  4. I thought conspiracy threads were against forum rules?
  5. This was not the heaviest payload they've had in the trunk of a CRS mission.
  6. I have a life, away from the computer, sue me. And I'll take the word of NSF over some random forum poster any day.
  7. Quick, someone get Tiberon. I want to see his face.
  8. Hell, the crew of Challenger survived most of the way down after the explosion. And that was a Hydrogen/Oxy explosion.
  9. Sigh, No One has claimed that it survived the impact with the water. And that "big Explosion" takes place long after the possibly sighted capsule has left the area.
  10. We'll just have to wait and see if SpaceX elaborates on how long they received telemtry from Dragon.
  11. ^Gotta say, Post proof or retract. Your reaching conclusions not supported by video or testimony. I'll trust Gwynn's comments over yours. Unless it's al heresy originating from the same source.
  12. Cargo Dragon can't "abort". But it can survive. To a point.
  13. So, Gwynn was lying when she said they continued to get telemetry from Dragon after the event? No one is saying it survived landing, just that it survived the RUD.
  14. At least from a technical viewpoint. Not mentioned is the political fallout.
  15. Switching launch providers most likely won't save any time. Unless their scheduled launch is already way out there.
  16. They'll hang tight. it's not like there are spare rockets lying around that they could launch on. Any new provider would still have a lead-in build time.
  17. Cargo breaking loose is really the "best case scenario" here. I don't think it will be that convenient.
  18. The second explosion was the FTS being activated.
  19. The failure sucks, but a small part of me is glad in that they got it out of the way. Sort of like always being worried about a new car until after you get that first scratch.
  20. If you've watched every NASA broadcast of a SpaceX launch, which I have, you would know that at no point has the NASA announcer acknowledged the landing attempts even when you can hear mission control in the background stating when engine fires are occurring for said event. it's just not part of NASA's mission coverage.
  21. Exactly. It's not about "NASA being jealous and competing with SpaceX". Which I never said.
