  1. Very enjoyable read. I really appreciate the level of detail and I thank you for continuing this longer then most people would have done so. Edit: also how long IRL and in game has this gone for?
  2. I've been looking and couldn't really find any warships around? Could someone post a link or some pics at least please?
  3. Playing career mode, I planned to orbit the Mun to get some SCIENCE. So I built a ship I thought would be good enough, so I sent it there. In my enthusiasm to get there quicker, I time warped a bit to quick. Long story short I banaged to land this: http://i.imgur.com/2Nd6FfJ.png on Duna. basically I got a big gravity assist from the Mun and I was already over half way to Duna, so I thought why not? But now Jeb is stuck until I sent out a ship for him. Has anyone else had a mission not work but then opened up another mission which the ship was NOT designed for?
  4. Archibald and Seanwise are my favourites. They are as crazy as Jeb and have the BadS tag so yeah... The both rode the death roller rover to the mun(it's exactly what you think) and widely grinned the whole way. Now the whole crew are on Duna and now the three are planning something.
  5. I was testing an ssto and my game glitched and I had to restart the game. Now my favourite tester Jorlan is missing in action. how can I get him back? I read somewhere that you can edit some file. Any help would be appreciated, as when/if Jorlan dies, it will be in an epic crash, not a space/time ****.
  6. Excellent read. Thank you and keep the inspirational expedition going!
  7. Great read! Keep it up, I'm awaiting eagerly for the next post.
  8. It appears that the Kraken has a taste for two kerbals at a time...
  9. Check out infinity: Quest for earth. I think that would win *If* it gets finished.
  10. What was your order of missions when you first played? Mine was 1. Reach orbit around Kerbin. 2. Land on the Mun. (First was a manned crash cause I'm a cruel bastard, 2nd was a time warp crash by accident, cause I'm a careless bastard and the third was a proper landing cause I was a careful bastard) 3. Probe around Minmus. 4. Space station around Kerbin. 5. Probe around the mun. It was all trial and error.
  11. Guys seriously stop posting, Whackjob already won.
  12. Ok thanks, I'm setting up a secondary refuelling station near Minmus orbit for the interplanetary transfers and this will help a lot.
  13. If I am orbiting at the very edge of Kerbin SOI, would it be cheaper in fuel to transfer straight from there to where ever else or would it be cheaper in the long run to slow my speed so I slingshot around the planet and gain speed in the process?
  14. Their ability to survive in a cramped and tiny capsule for 127 years in orbit with out nourishment and then still be sane enough to be able to control a ship with perfect precision could come in handy.
  15. As the title says, what are your craziest and weirdest but still workable crafts? Ill post mine when I get home
  16. I have landed on the mun about five different times but I wasted a lot of fuel and I'm sure there is some more fuel saving way. Does anyone have any tips on how to land on the mun easier?
  17. After playing KSP for such a longtime, I watched some stargate footage of space battles and with my knowledge from this game I could not enjoy it one bit. Before I could watch it over and over but now it makes me cringe while saying 'they're too close' 'that wouldn't happen' 'that orbit wouldn't work' 'they should be crashing' and that sort of stuff. Has anyone else had the same thing happen?
  18. Omfg I just was about to come on here and ask if anyone had made the kerbal system in universe sandbox, and this was the first topic I saw X'D
  19. It would be good to see how space exploration would be with a ring system around earth...
  20. After writing that post I went to sleep, then dreamt jupiter pulled earth out of orbit, earth then circled around Saturn, picking up a few hundred *asteroid* moons, (from the rings) then circled back to regular orbit then ended up having an elliptical orbit, just close enough enough that the world was burning for a very short time, not enough to permanently destroy the Eco system then proceeded further out and experienced a lasting winter. Quite strange
  21. With the sun being jerked about by jupiter, that's gotta make you think about how that could affect seasons and temperature, (if measurable)
