  1. No offense but you must have an incredibly old computer if rendering Kerbin is lagging you out :/
  2. Hyperedit can put them on EXACTLY matched orbits and you can even distance them apart to the millimeter. However, (and i just tested this) they will still drift whilst timewarping regardless. There is some degree of error in the basic physics engine/floating point issues/etc. Short version: Impossible. Long version: Put one in a higher orbit (20 or so km higher) and you'll get a transfer window about every 8th orbit... which equates to 3 or so a day. (assuming 120-140km orbits or so) Good luck mate.
  3. IF you use KAS, just drop a basic ship next to it covered in power generationa dn connect via a winch in docked mode. Problem solved.
  4. Do you have a way to download/install these for those of us with highend PC's who can handle it? These would be incredibly good for screenshot quality and youtubers like macey etc. Also, clouds on laythe pleasepleasepleasepleasseplease?
  5. Hate to say it mate but this isn't [stock], it's [ModCraft]. That's a B9 command pod.
  6. I'd love to know where you guys are pulling your exact fps values from
  7. Generally downwards pitch is because you have a pair of intakes mounted off centre which are creating drag and pulling the plane nose down/up. I'm guessing you have some radial intakes under the fuselage and no matching ones above the fuselage.
  8. You could also strap a LARGE rover underneath, and drop it about 5-10 metres above the surface then go land elsewhere. it won't bounce far.
  9. Yeah something broke recently, no idea why. Mine doesn't save anymore either.
  10. Docking Sr's are crap in general. Use Quad or tri coupler regular docking ports and some patience to get them all to hook together in space (may require a LOT of launches)... or alternatively modify the fuel tank part.cfg so it has no fuel in it and is a whole lot lighter (and easier to launch).... which is what I do. Also you really don't need quantum struts with the tabs. The tabs are amazing with normal struts.

  12. 1) Is basically dependent on your understanding of the h/n i/k and j/l pair keys for which way you want to translate. USE TIMEWARP. HAVE PATIENCE. You can dock for 25-40 RCS even big things if you are patient and plan a bit ahead. Quicksave before you start a docking, when you get it done note how much you used, load and DO IT AGAIN. Keep going until you just get it down to a routine almost for that ship, any other ship will be a lot better after that too. (this is how i learnt) 2) Yes. Add some parachutes 3) A 70 ton lifter is plenty. You can make smaller things and dock them together
  13. I'm having trouble seeing where you usually "attach". I assume you add a docking port to the girder you have hanging out the back? If so, it'll never work because it has no horizontal leeway. You could either make a "hole" out of girders and drop another girder into it, then use KAS to make a docking connection but it'll tow like .. a semi trailer? or you could significantly strengthen that girder and add a docking port to the back of it. Remember any trailing carriage needs steering locked on _all_ wheels or i'll just pull straight off. Also turn off steering on the train except for the front couple of pairs, certianly off the back 2 pairs or it will pull sideways against the docking port.
  14. It's called IonCross Crew Support and it's currently on the first page of the addons forum.
  15. Yep. You can either put the engine in a stage above the decoupler and hit space twice (give it some sep room etc) or you can put the decoupler and engine in the same stage and they will fire simultaneously. It's irrelevant which ones "on top" in the staging window, as long as they are both in the same numbered stage.
  16. that just means you're turning too fast chris sorry. Follow your prograde marker, stay a little bit BEHIND it, you can turn no probs. Large rovers require heavy strutting of the wheels and wheel connections. They twist all over the place and snap off frequently.
  17. TV Aerospace fixes this. They're definitely way OP.
  18. Remove timewarp and we can start watching player count drop through the floor.
  19. metaphor if you used mechjeb command pods & probes, you'd be 6 parts immediately cause you dont' need that mechjeb thing on the side
  20. I suppose that really depends what country you live in and who's laws you're subject to. I'm not American. Edit: Not that it matters, you can google this mod and find it fairly quickly anyway. Also it'll only be a matter of time before someone clones the functionality of it with new code.
  21. "cheats" are relative to your perspective. Play the game how you want to play it, I know a ton of guys who hyperedit a lot of their space stations into orbit because they're huge and incredibly involved (beautiful) designs but there's just no real way to launch them without a 1200 part launcher which just isn't feasible. Ultimately, the decision is made by you. If you like realism, get remotetech too.
  22. Two quick points Konyrou 1) Copyright doesn't exist if there's no money involved and you are correctly citing the original authors. It's called "Fair Use" and is a feature of every copyright act worldwide. 2) If you're removing it for Copyright (I understand being nice to the original author), could you please highlight where we can get the current version of the code as this implies the author will continue to support their product. If the author has requested you remove it and is not maintaining or uploading their code then I think they will swiftly find out that said code is posted to the internet without their approval or control. So this is an option for you/them to produce a link to something "sanctioned" prior to the community filling that gap.
  23. I'm experimenting with tri-coupler docking (3 ports instead of 4) because SR. docking ports are simply too weak and snap off your main ship all the time if there's a reasonable amount of weight applying perpendicular motion.
  24. Launched a 1 ton comm satellite into 585km circularised orbit using nothing but 2 big solid rocket boosters. Ohhyeahhhh. Also designed/flew my A-10 suborbital plane that does like 2250kmh without even trying :/ It's supposed to be SUBSONIC damn engines are too powerful
