  1. so, does nobody here uses Mun for a gravity assist? when I go to Minmus, I ussually prefer to set my course for Mun, then use maneuver nodes to plan a burn that will get my ship on a good inclination, and a good distance. Minmus, despite its eccentrical orbit, is always 46k Km from Kerbin, so, I just plot a maneuver node when already in route to Mun, and watch the resulting Ap to get it to 46K. Yes, it might be more inefficient because you have to wait for a good rendezvous, but it does seem to save some fuel.
  2. wait... so... whats the song? [edit: oh.. Burn by Ellie Goulding. aight.. still, the footage fits this song pretty well, i can see this being featured on the next weekly update. Kudos ^.^]
  3. yeah, its more fitting for a cinematic with a a tense but positive atmosphere, like Jeb preparing to do an insertion into jools atmosphere to slow down and get captured by its gravity in an orbit... dangerous and crazy, but we know that jeb can pull it off.
  4. Best thing ever that little map. adding it to my signature.
  5. well, i feel like i am not the best one to answer this question, but, the last 2 rovers i designed have worked pretty well. the first one was a medium size rover "capable" of holding three kerbals and on the mun surface, it reaches a top speed of 29 m/s. I pretty much started with a rover body (can be found in structure tab) and added on the top a 2x2 structural plaque... or sheet... wait.. ok here we go, an m 2x2 structural panel. this gave me a lot of space to play with on top. i added 3-4 cubic octagonal struts to put on a ceiling... bah i'm just gonna try to post a screenshot... ok so i cant post a screen shot... sorry i am so useless;.;
