  1. Drinking my morning coffee and planning out my KSP day rather than planning out my real life day. This might be a problem.
  2. Currently 21 around Kerbin, Mun, and Minmus. But one of them is an ever expanding Space Station. 5 Build flights so far, hoping to do another 2 today.
  3. So it's been a little over three weeks since Steam introduced me to this absolute gem of a game. Played the demo and didn't think twice about buying right then and there. Now like many of you, I am completely addicted to this game. Rather than list what I've managed to do in the game over the last 3+ weeks (there's plenty of other threads for that!), I decided to list a few of the things I've neglected or stopped doing since this game came into my life. 1) Stopped playing Xbox - My beloved gaming console hasn't been turned on since achieving my first liftoff. Previously, no more than 3 days would pass between gaming sessions and that would only happen if I went away for the weekend. 2) Stopped keeping up on current events - Sorry CNN, unless you have breaking news on a new mod or a new tutorial posted on youtube I'm really not interested. 3) Stopped watching my favorite sports - Yea, the Yankee game is on, but it's really only background noise. No interest in NBA or NHL playoffs. 4) Stopped painting my Warhammer 40k minis - Just got into this very expensive hobby about a year ago and managed to do a little painting every weekend even if just for an hour or two. It was a stress relief. Now my minis collect dust, while I stress over why my rocket is blowing up at 40k meters with no relief until many hours of design and testing finally gets my rocket into a stable orbit. 5) Stopped checking Steam for specials - Was a daily habit. Now...? Why bother. Not gonna be playing anything new anytime soon. Took me 2 weeks just to get to both of Kerbins moons and back in one piece. I'm just getting started with this game. I did manage to still feed my pets, so I guess I haven't neglected everything I love. So with that, please share your stories of how KSP has replaced any of your daily habits or other things you love.
  4. I have a Test Dummy save for testing out radical ideas or designs I'm a little iffy about. All those Kerbals are expendable. In my real Space Program save I try to keep all crew alive and try to prevent them getting stranded anywhere. Although accidents still happen and I feel bad when I lose a Kerbalnaut. As long as I keep my OG crew (Jeb, Bill, and Bob) alive I can get over the other deaths. Feel bad, but I can get over it.
  5. Rocket design and ideas constantly dance in my head during work. It's usually long hard days of manual labor (construction). So letting my mind drift away to new ship ideas or ways to refine existing ones gets me through the day.
  6. Noticed the same thing when a few of my ships didn't load. I had deleted my previous KWRocketry parts before installing 2.4. When I opened KSP the first couple of ships I lost were due to missing the Medium and Heavy Struts. Among other missing items were the RCS pods, Stack Decouplers, and 3x2 & 2x1 Adaptors. I found the files folders for those parts in my recycling bin and just restored them into my KWRocketry folder and I was finally able to load up my ships. Hope this helps.
  7. Hi Everyone! Just wanted to say hi to the KSP community. Came across the demo of the game on steam last week and instantly bought the game. Needless to say, the better portion of this past week (luckily had week off from work) was spent hurling Kerbals through space. I absolutely love this game and love to see how deep of a community is surrounding this game. From the hard core science guys to the casual flyers, strictly stock to the modders. It's a deep community which will offer a great variety of ways to play for future Kerbalites. Thank you to anyone who posts or have posted videos and tutorials on youtube. Without you I would not have gotten far in this game. I've already started playing with mods such as, KW Rockets, Remotetech, ISA MapSat and Mechjeb amongst many others. This past week I've managed to set up a sat relay network around Kerbin and Mun and have made 3 Mun landings. This week I hope to get started on my KISS (Kerbal International Space Station) and build a Minmus rover. I look forward to interacting with this community and sharing my Kerbal experiences. Thanks, Markotiks
