  1. I will give it to Bean since he was first to claim it and missed out on his slot before. Your due date will be 2/6/14. Good Luck
  2. Ok so with 2 no shows on the last mission I think I will open this up to anyone who wants it as long as you haven't done a mission yet. Any takers? I will assign a due date when we have a commander.
  3. Don't worry. I have some other missions as well. I'll make sure not to stick anyone with something they don't want. Fair enough about Tylo. As a general rule for the missions I assign: You can deem them impossible or too risky for a Kerbal to perform. If you make adjustments to the mission(only landing a probe that wont return for example) that is fine as long as you justify it in your report.
  4. Looks like The Lone Kerman is MIA. The mission goes to the next. Mission Commander: Herman Kerman Mission Due Date: 1/25/14 Please post your acceptance on this thread within 24 hours.
  5. Mission 11: The Scattering Background: SUCCESS!!! Kerbal kind has established its first permanent settlement on another celestial body! Brave scientists and explorers are as we speak getting settled in to their new home on the Mu- wait what? - They are on Minmas? I thought they were supposed to go to the Mun.... Well can we move it to the Mun?... I can't deal with this right now. ON TO THE NEXT MISSION! The Joolian scientists are getting very curious about all of the moons they have there. It's time to get a closer look. Primary Objectives: 1. Send one of the Kerbals to each of Jool's Moons and leave them there to conduct science. 2. Ensure that each of the Kerbals can return to the Jool main station at any time. Secondary Objectives: A. Provide the Kerbal scientists with mobility of some kind so that they can see as much of their moon as possible. Parameters: Launch each of the 5 Kerbals on the Jool station to the 5 moons of Jool. One Kerbal should be landed on each moon when the mission is complete. Each Kerbal should have the capability to return to the Jool station on their own and, if possibile, some mobility on the surface. Examples: car, plane, extra fuel in the return craft for hops, etc. Remember: No reverting. If someone crashes, they are dead. Restrictions:None Mission Commander: The Lone Kerman(The Lone Wolfling) Mission Due Date: 1/23/14 Please post your acceptance on this thread within 24 hours.
  6. Of the many awesome things about this mission report, my absolute favorite is the fact that the base is on the wrong planet. So incredibly Kerbal! I will try to get the next mission posted tonight. By the way, are those just a bunch of external seats strapped to an engine?!
  7. Looks like Bean isn't going to Reply. So. Mission 10: Old Friends See above Mission Commander: Ron Kerman (Rondon) Mission Due Date: 1/16/14 Please post your acceptance on this thread within 24 hours.
  8. Sorry for another absence from me everyone. Here is the next mission! Mission 10: Old Friends Background: With the science team safely in place around Jool, the KRAK leadership looks to the next mission. Suddenly they remember that one of their first missions scouted out a location for a Mun Base. Where was that again?... Primary Objectives: 1. Hire 4 additional Kerbals to permanently crew a Mun Base. 2. Construct a science/training facility on the surface of the Mun. Secondary Objectives: A. Return the crew of the Minmas Station to the KSC Parameters: Construct a suface base on the Mun that can be used a both a permanent science facility and as a training center for future kolonists to other planets. This base should be crewed by 4 kerbals and have room for an additional 4 trainees. It should also have significant science facilities. This should include at least one of each of the goo canister, science bay, thermometer, barometer, accelerometer, and the gravimeter. It should also have one of the new science labs to process all of this data. You have been approved to hire 4 additional Kerbalnauts for this mission. Carefully select these 4 and tell us why they made the cut. Also, upcoming missions will require experienced crew. Return the crew of the Minmas station to Kerbin but leave the station in orbit for refueling duties. Restrictions: None. Bonus points though for putting the base at the location originally scouted! Mission Commander: Robert Kerman Mission Due Date: 1/14/14 Please post your acceptance on this thread within 24 hours.
  9. Sweet! Standby for the next mission. Bean is up next
  10. You need to post something by midnight tonight. Either the mission report or a request for an extension.
  11. If you got a screen shot of it back in position then yes. Otherwise the KRAK Komissoners wont believe you.
  12. If you go to Jeb then you should just be able to hit the recover button (mouse up to the top center of the screen) and he will come back to the KSC. Bob is currently in the tug orbiting around Eve I think. he will be a bit more of a challenge. You may need to fast forward to a good launch window.
  13. Mission 9: A Miniature Kerbol System Background: *HEADLINE* KRAK researchers report that Kerbol is "big...like...REALLY big" Unfortunately we were unable to touch the biggest thing we can see; but fortunately we have broken the record for the fastest Kerbal thing ever! That makes it all worthwhile. Maybe we can touch a slightly smaller thing. The next smallest thing we've ever observed is Jool. It seems to be so big that is has as many moons going around it as Kerbol has planets. We need to study that system but it will have to be a long mission. It may take a while to learn all we need to know about Jool and its moons. We will start by building a base there... Primary Objectives: 1. Design and launch a space station for long term survival 5 kerbals. 2. Place that station into orbit somewhere in the Jool system with a crew of 5 kerbals. Secondary Objectives: A. Re-synchronize the Korse Comm Satelites B. Return Bill and Jebediah Kerman to the KSC Parameters: Launch a station to the Jool system with a total crew of 5 kerbals. This station can be in orbit around Jool itself or around one of its moons. The station should have a full array of scientific equipment on it for running experiments while there. This should include at least one of each of the goo canister, science bay, thermometer, barometer, accelerometer, and the gravimeter. In addition, the Korse Communication Satelites have fallen out of syncronous orbit. Reposition them to be in K-sync orbit and 90 degrees apart from eachother. They each have their own propulsion system so it should be easy. If one needs refueling then the Feynman spacecraft is avaliable from the first mission. Restrictions: May not hire any more Kerbalnauts.(This means that you will need to find a way to get poor Jeb home from his long exile) Mission Commander: Maxton Kerman Mission Due Date: 12/18/2013 Please post your acceptance on this thread within 24 hours.
  14. Wow! That looks awesome! I will try to have the next mission posted by tonight. Sorry I am being so laggy with this. I'm still adjusting to some major life milestones right now(being an adult is time consuming).
  15. Am I the only one who can't see the pictures you are posting?
  16. @Bothersome: Wow that is intense! I hope you are taking screen caps. What is your orbital velocity at that altitude?
  17. Just to clarify: the craft that "lands" on the sun does not have to have a kerbal in it. Also, the question mark after land was meant to indicate that Kerbals do not yet know if this is possible. That is why they are sending the mission. Looking forward to seeing your mission report! BTW: It sounds like you are already past this point but it would have been totally legit for you to send a Xenon storage module to the Minmas station and convert some Kethane into xenon there for your craft. That way you wouldn't have to land.
  18. Mission 8: How I wonder what you are... Background: With a steady supply of fuel now available at the edge of the Kerbin system, the rest of the Kerbol system is now at our fingertips. First question: what is that insanely bright light? Second question: Can I touch it? KRAK must know! No expense will be spared to find the answers! This will likely be the largest kraft that KRAK has ever built. It will also take a long time to reach it's destination so make it count. Primary Objectives: 1. Place a craft in low orbit around Kerbol 2. Land(?) a craft on the surface(?) of Kerbol Secondary Objectives: A. Bring a load of Kethane refined fuel up to the minmas station. Parameters: Determine whether the surface of Kerbol is solid by attempting to land a craft there. Be sure that there is a craft left in orbit around Kerbol to observe the descent of the lander Restrictions: None Mission Commander: Bothersome Mission Due Date:12/13/13 Please post your acceptance on this thread. You will need the Kethane mod for this mission. Here is the link in case you need it. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/...s-improvements"]http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/...s-improvements
  19. Hey Everyone! Horribly profuse apologies for my long absence. I've had some life crises lately that have kept me away. Honestly I am surprised that you all are still interested. Standby for the next mission assignment.
  20. Just out of curiosity, why don't people want Kethane? I said in the beginning that mods might be added as we progressed.
  21. Great mission Radiokopf. Thanks for getting it done quick. OK! Let's get some momentum back in this game! Mission 7: A New Resource Background: Having visited the two closest planets to Kerbin, the leaders of KRAK have noticed something: Space travel take a lot of fuel. To that end, they have directed the scientists to look for a new way to refuel the spacecraft without returning them to Kerbin. They have discovered a new material called Kethane and developed some tool to collect and refine it. Also, the Kerbal crew of the Minmas science station have reported that they need more green jelly beans sent out to them to feed the purple aardvark that is living in the ventilation system. Based on this new information, KRAK mission control has decided that they should probably return to Kerbin for some rest. Primary Objectives: 1. Scan Minmas for traces of Kethane 2. Deploy facilites to mine and process Kethane into fuel to be stored on Arkeinen Station Secondary Objectives: A. Rotate the crew of Arkeinen Station Parameters: Swap the two Kerbals manning Arkeinen Station with 2 different Kerbals from the roster. Deploy scanning, mining, and processing facilities to Minmas to turn it into a self sustaining fuel depot. Restrictions: No large diameter Kethane parts Mission Commander: Yar Kerman(YarTheBug) Mission Due Date: 11/14/13 Please post your acceptance on this thread. You will need the Kethane mod for this mission. This is the first mod we will be adding. Here is the link in case you need it. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/23979-Kethane-Pack-0-8-Art-pass-terrain-conforming-grid-and-miscellaneous-improvements
  22. Cool. New deadline is November the 11th.
  23. http://www./download/l550d5a25s258ac/KRAK_4.zip There is the link to download what I ran. I opened it with an updated Kerbal install on Steam and it worked fine for me. What problems are you seeing?
  24. Hmm. The update broke it? I will look into this this weekend and hopefully have a fixed download to use ASAP. I will give you a new deadline when I do.
  25. So the deadline has passed and we have no update. I am going to move to the next person on the list for this mission. Radiokopf, that is you. You will take over the same mission that The Destroyer had. Please post your acceptance on this thread. Your deadline will be be the end of the day on November 6th.
