  1. Is it possible that this mod be used in a lite version? The only thing I would like to use are the planet enhancements, the other stuff is peripheral.
  2. Indeed. I don't even know if I have to individually target each dish or whether signals are sent automatically. "Active Vessel" means nothing to me because it says nothing about needing a receiver.
  3. A Kermaiden? Looks like she's ate a plate.
  4. Still no community member here with an answer? I could do with a hand.
  5. Odd, I'm guessing there must be a way around it? That marking you mentioned?
  6. I am just at the point of testing my way around Kerbal so, just for future reference, I would like to get past this small issue. Currently I use HxD just fine with everything except the normal maps. A basic example is this Mk1 Command Pod coming out like this: http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj307/Colesy/model001_zps9b3dcdaf.png I don't think that I've used the wrong size in HxD against this sample, which is what I'd put errors like this down to.
  7. You don't have to wonder, as your first sentence's premise suggests.
  8. Today I decided to dust off my Maya, fire up Photoshop and start thinking about modding. I'm only dipping my toe first, understanding modelling and texturing basics in Unity which is all pretty simple so far. Except, of course, something that should be simple not being simple at all. I have recovered some textures to have a look at by using Hex Editor already and, although I can't find any documentation, it works fine. Until it comes to normal maps. Converting a normal map from .mbm to .pbm, using HxD, just gives me a bad return. It looks like the normal map x3 across and a lot of empty space bellow which would make me think that I am trying to convert it to the wrong size but I have tried 1024x1024, 512 x 512 and 256 x 256 so I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Does anyone have any idea what seems to be the matter? Failing that, could anyone show me a ready to photoshop normal map .pbm for the mk1 command pod as an example so I can compare? Cheers.
  9. Ah, ok. Have you got a copy of PS? If you are new to PS then it would be a good idea to scout around on pixles2life or other tutorial communities. You can easily turn from your first try to some very good effects.
  10. Horrifying. You can't just throw a filter on a picture and call it "art".
  11. Do I have to update all the configs? This is such a great capsule, its a shame a few lines of a .cfg could take it away.
  12. Cheers Initar, it was a strange one, just vanilla installed KSP again and it worked. I dunno how one vanilla install works and one doesn't but there we are. I am finding that even this install has problems as any probe/craft with the Mapsat dish on it causes all of the options in the paused menu to not accept any input. If I click 'End Flight', for example, the gui will respond but I'll still be stuck on the paused menu. This is a bug that can only be related to Mapsat as I am running it on a clean install and it is a game braker, the only option to get past it is alt-F4.
  13. Nobody? I'm just worried I have a faulty install because I'm not seeing it working even though the parts are on satellites in orbit.
  14. How do you use Map Sat, there doesn't seem to be any documentation and there is no obvious interaction that is working.
  15. It depends on many factors. I thought I was ambidextrous as I used both hands for all tasks, however, since I have been working I have switched to use my left hand and find my right-hand writing to get worse and worse. Why switch to my left? Well, my desk is arranged so that my note pads are all on my left while my mouse is in my right hand. It is nothing more than dominance of one side over the other at a young age that really determines an individual's preferred hand. There are other factors that contribute, the biggest being society. None-asymmetrical things, over time, have a tendency to be built for right handed people and this societal preference may impact the choice of preferred hand. I believe there is a field of neurology that you'd have to be an expert in before you could answer it correctly but the basics are pretty easy.
  16. Greetings space enthusiasts. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this yet but Ariane flight VA213 is launched at 23:30 CEST tonight. It will be delivering ATV-4 'Albert Einstein' to the ISS. For those who are interested in watching the launch it is available here: http://spaceinvideos.esa.int/esalive Just thought I'd let people who wouldn't otherwise know and are interested get the chance to catch this. Cheers!
