  1. I would like to question this. In my opinion, the physics only works out if the Endurance is actually rather light, particularly compared to the Rangers. I'm not saying it's lighter, but it has to be fairly low in mass. (upcoming minor spoilers) Just think- remember how short a time it takes for them to spin it up? Or more importantly, to arrest the spinning using only the thrusters on the lander. Then there's the issue of when they fire the main engines; whether or not the engines on the Endurance were firing, the lander's were, meaning the centre of thrust would have been totally out of line with the centre of mass if the Endurance had any decent mass to it. If it were lighter, the lander's engines could probably compensate for the angle, as they must have done because there was no rotation induced when they boosted out of the atmosphere. And then if you think about how quickly the Endurance accelerated away after detaching from the makeshift booster rockets flying out of the black hole, it makes sense. Don't forget Romilly's comment about "millimetres of Aluminum". Those are just my thoughts on it
  2. God dammit Tanya, why are all of your designs so darn good?
  3. INTRODUCING... The SK Enterprises' "Quad-Pod!" --- This practical design, weighing in at ~33.014 Tons, with a part count of 88, is ideal for all your shuttling needs! Built with VTOL in mind, the four, symmetrical engines provide stability, thrust and efficiency during flight. http://i.imgur.com/rmUkViph.jpg High-impact-tolerant landing struts mounted on the QuadPod provide a firm base to touch down on your favourite moon with no hassle or toppling (terms and conditions apply). But oh no! You've landed short of the base and you can't bear to pogo over there! Not to worry, say SK Enterprises! Simply retract the landing struts and hey presto, you have a full mobile rover feature, able to travel along the surface at a staggering speed; neat! http://i.imgur.com/bqUznpdh.jpg With lateral docking arms tailor-made to suit the KepeTech Refuelling Station, re-fuelling is no hassle with the QuadPod! No fuss, no RCS, just aim and drive. http://i.imgur.com/ytOuQkZh.jpg For short trips, the QuadPod carries up to 3 personnel per trip, with a choice of a scenic open-view cockpit for seating! http://i.imgur.com/YAIqJo6h.jpg Ready to lift off? Deploy your struts for stability then, using the excessive fuel reserves, blast your way up to the station of your choosing. http://i.imgur.com/17iGoj6h.jpg We here at SK Enterprises hope you find our engineering solutions to your liking, and hope to make you a future customer or business partner!
