  1. Chad told me about the potatoroid name back at SXSW while mentioning the idea of a giant potato as a moonlet around Jool.

I dunno, I like the idea of a space potato entering the atmosphere of kerbin and being turned into a badly cooked baked potato. :sticktongue:

...and explodes into chips when it hits the ground!

  2. ...what would they say?

They can text you while your playing or while your computers off. It doesn't matter! But what sort if conversations would you have with them? Or what would they say to you?

    I'll start:

    Me:

Jeb, I'm leaving work. I'll be on as soon as I get back! To the Mun, bro!!! ðŸ˜Â

    Jeb:

    No. Not tonight. Take Bob.

    Me:

    Why?! You're the main dude!

    Jeb:

First reason, I've been to the Mun, like, six times this week. I'm bored with it. So it's someone else's turn. Second reason, you suck. You don't get the re-entry right and I crash every time. It was a novelty at first, but now it's just boring 😴 Also, buy some more RAM. Your framerate is nauseating.

    Me:

You cut me deep bro. I think you need some time out on Eve. Hot and heavy!! 😠

    Jeb:

You don't know how to get to Eve. And I've just deleted the MechJeb mod. lol

    Me:

    😵

  3. This is not mine, and I can't remember who did it, but I found it hilarious:

  4. I use the Mk1-2 Command Pod purely because I don't like sending a Kerbal beyond Kerbin orbit on thier own. It seems cruel. And it's this same reason that I never use the Mk1 Lander can. Imagine descending to the Mun for the first time on your own... it would be intimidating (in my view) and pretty pants as there is no one with you to share the excitement (yes, I know this was what the Soviats were going to do). So I will happily go through the extra burden of creating a LV that can deliver the necessary hardware. And I still play in Sandbox only, so parts are not the issue.

Anyway, that's my reasons. Perhaps I'm too soft on the little guys!

  5. I voted the second one. I also use "I land on the moon", it's a moon after all so it is technically correct.

Actually, it's a natural satellite. Earth's satellite is called the Moon. It's a common misconception that satellites are 'moons'. There is only one Moon, as there is only one Earth, as there is only one Europa, etc.

It's just socially accepted that all satellite's are called 'moons' now.

  6. Haha! It was fun writing about some paranoid Kerbals! Thanks for the comments, folks!! The second probe-mission to Eve is up for reading! Sig in the link.

Edit: Yes, the mysterious LDV explosion! In all honesty, I am really not sure what happened there. Nibbled by the Kraken, I think! But the Eve lander has also shut down. I think something is hindering the exploration of my Kerbals!!

But, in actual fact, I upgraded to Remote Tech 2. That caused me a HUGE headache trying to upgrade and re-link all my vehicles. Jeb had never been Hyper-edited so much!! But the Eve lander had served it's purpose, so I thought I'd leave it to rest in peace.

  7. Yup, same problem here with the tracking screen freezing. I was switching out the old defunct RT1 probes with new RT2 ones using hyper edit. My furthest probe is in Duna orbit. And I think it happened after switching that one out. Not 100% but I will remove it and check again tomorrow.

As mentioned in the above post, the work-around is to access the map view by launching a vessel. Not ideal, tho. I, too, have the hot fix dll. Any thoughts?
