I'm using FAR, TPA, and B9 and am having issues getting my turbojet engines to feed from wingtip mounted Jet A fuel tanks. Fuel lines don't help, any suggestions on how to get it to work?- 14,073 replies

I can't seem to get my D-30F7 engines to take fuel from tanks other than my Mark 2 fuselage tanks. I am trying to get it to feed from wingtip tanks and have had no luck. I have tried drawing fuel lines from the tanks to the engines and even putting the fuel tanks directly on the variable intakes the engines are connected to, but nothing has worked. Even taking off with a fuselage fuel tank and cutting off flow to switch to the other tanks doesn't work. I am running both FAR and TV Aerospace in addition to B9. Any idea what might be happening?

Any advice on how to attain lateral stability and control? My aircraft has a rolling motion to the right despite being completely symmetrical. It's manageable until I hit around Mach 3.5, then the aircraft begins rolling out of control. It's not dangerous by itself, but an uncontrollable roll rate at Mach 4.25 and 21,000 meters is concerning. I also have a very slow turn rate from the rudder, with the aircraft occasionally stopping its yaw motion and flying straight despite full rudder application. The aircraft also has a minor roll motion towards the inside of my turns. When I stop making turns the aircraft yaws left and right several times like a pendulum and while the motion dissipates it continues for some time.- 14,073 replies

Thanks for the help again. Is there somewhere that has information on what various types of wings, winglets, engine locations, etc. do to an aircraft? For example, I put winglets on the canards because I thought they would actually help reduce drag and increase stability (or at least that's what they do on normal wings).- 14,073 replies

Thanks for the tips Ferram. Now that I don't have to mount my engines on the centerline or wingtips I have been able to make more varied and faster designs. Any advice on how to increase the pitch authority and/or speed on this aircraft? I almost got up to Mach 4, but I couldn't pitch up past 18,500 meters.- 14,073 replies

How can you compensate for thrust below or above the wing? I made a Tu-144 type aircraft (small canard in front, massive delta wing near the far back), but it keeps climbing out of control regardless of my control inputs.- 14,073 replies

Ferram, what plugins can you recommend for use with this? I remember earlier versions were compatible with several aircraft part sets and one of the major rocket mods.- 14,073 replies
