  1. I am trying to place objects about a cylindrical body of a rocket. I first use the symmetry option and place, for example, 4 of a certain object about a common axis on the surface. I then want to place a different object on the same surface and using the symmetry option. However, this time I only want 2 of the new object instead of 4. Unfortunately, there is this automatic setting thing where the system forces me to continue placing 4 of this new object. In other words, whenever I try to switch back to 2, or even some other number like 3 or 5, once I select the desired surface, the game will try to set the number of items back to 4. This is a really frustrating problem. I wonder if there is an option to turn this annoying thing off, or is this actually a bug?
  2. Really? I never knew that . My bad for being a fool. Now I get it...I can only access my key bindings through the Main Menu and not during flight.
  3. At the moment, the spacecraft event history is displayed when you fatally crash your rocket and that the flight has officially ended. What would be nice, however, is that you can view a history of the events at any instance of time in flight. This could be a simple "View Spacecraft History" button in the Esc menu, or a keyboard binded button that opens and closes the tab. This history tab is very useful in events where your rocket is not doing what it was intended to do (But not necessarily result in a fatal crash, or take a while to get to it). You can then view when things went wrong and hence why. Then of course, you re-design your rocket to fix the problems.
  4. I tried that just now.. But it makes virtually no difference to what I would've got without pausing the game. All pausing does stops me at the screen where I see some sort of explosion. After that, it's just the same old accelerate 100ms-2 as of what I said in my earlier post. Tried this multiple times and still the same results. I also tried to wait for some time in my last attempt. But the velocity seems to be just doing that accelerate 100ms-2 forever. It's gone past 1 million and is still going at the moment...
  5. Wow....Really awesome. I tried to launch plaid just now. The problem though is that KSP seems to be having trouble keeping up with the insane velocity. All that's happening on my screen is that the camera acts like a ship moving in a straight line away from Kerbin, accelerating at roughly 100m/s^2, and the struts aren't seen. How did you manage to get the struts and the 800000 ms-1 showing up on your screenshots?
  6. I called it a car because it's (ideally) something that a Kerbal can sit in and drive around, just like any family car.
  7. Ok, so I have a good space explorer ship that launches into space and travels around really well. However, I don't have a car that accompanies it. My Kerbals walk really slow on the Mun/Minmus and I'd really love to get a car to help them explore these places. But the question is, how? I want it so that I can re-mount the car onto my space craft so that I can re-use it at different places.
  8. Ok, so I've been playing this game for some days now. I have got a good rocket design (Based on an existing one from Kerbal Spaceport) that got me to the Mun very easily. However, the Kerbals don't walk very fast on the Mun. It'd be much more exciting to be able to explore the Mun through the use of a fast ground vehicle. I want to put a ground vehicle such as a Jeep on my rocket so that when I get to the Mun, I can deploy it. The jeep should be able to return to the rocket so that I can use it again in Minmus. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to do this. I'm guessing my ground vehicle can be downloaded from Kerbal Spaceport, however, how can I mount it onto my already existing spacecraft?
  9. My first landing on the Mun was simply a horrible crash On my first successful, landing, however, it was quite nice. The landing struts did what they were supposed to do and I had ladders which could get my crew easily back into the command module. The crew also had a bit of fun jumping around on the Mun ground and I also left a flag behind. However, at some point, I had a crew outside the ship while I was in the ship control mode. I accidentally hit the shift key (Throttle) and my ship took off!! It was extremely messy trying to get the ship back down to a position reasonably close to my left behind crew, where the ship kept drifting here and there. Eventually, I managed to get the ship within 250m of where my crew was left behind. It took forever to get my crew to walk to the ship.
