  1. Stats from the SPH are as follows. I can grab the config file for the part if you want. It's a two mode engine so this isn't the whole story. Engine Max Power: 640 Engine Min Power: 0.00 Isp at Sea Level : 1600 Isp in Vacuum: 1805 Propellants: -LiquidFuel 1.0 -IntakeAir 13.0 flameout Threshold: 0.10 Output at Full Power -ElectricalCharge 60/min Thrust Vectoring enabled Vectoring Range = 1.00 Mass 6 Dry Mass 6 Drag 0.2 Max Temp 3600 Impact Tolerance 7
  2. Ah I read through but not all of it. Shame on me. I understand. Well I will have to make it stronger. I landed it but the Sabre fell off on touch down haha. Thanks for the help!
  3. I'm having a little trouble with the Sabre M engine. The cost in the config file for it is listed as 950 but in the VAB/SPH it shows up as around 264,000. Any ideas on a fix? Is there something weird that MCX is picking up in the config file since it is a dual mode engine?
  4. I've had the most success with rockets where the payload is the center stack and the lifting vehicle is built out around it. Nuclear engines are ideal for once you are already in orbit. I would highly recommend installing MechJeb to take some of the guess work out of your rocket designs. It will tell you how much deltaV you have. DeltaV is change in velocity. I think you need around 3000 for a good higher orbit around Kerbal. Plenty of others already answered the camera view question. OH, and if you're having trouble where your rockets are shaking apart, use radial decouplers, small hard points, and struts to connect across stack decouplers. It should look like tension wires running down the side of your rocket but elevated. Helps me a lot.
  5. Yepp. If I don't use autopilot, the engines work just fine. Only happens on some rockets and only some of the time though. Hardest problems to track down!
  6. EDIT: This was supposed to be a followup but who knows where the other one went. I'm having an issue where the ascent autopilot doesn't use the liquid engines. It launches the stages correctly and steers but never throttles up. It also does not throttle down when it reaches the correct apoapsis. I have Kethane, ISA MapSat, NovaPunch, and RemoteTech installed as well. Also, I have the box checked for Auto-Throttle of course.
  7. I've got a quick question. I'm having an issue with the ascent autopilot where it will not throttle the liquid engines up or down. It activates the stage successfully and continues to steer but it never throttles up. It's done this on a few different rockets so far. I'm also using RemoteTech, Kethane Pack, NovaPunch, and ISA MapSat if any of those matter.
