  1. I was going to land on POL. The Lander neared one of the lowest parts of Pols terrain where a crater is. Then my spaceships computer prob (cockpit part that looks like sputnik) exploded for no reason while getting close to the ground.
  2. ALRIGHT! CHECK OUT THE PICTURES IN THESE LINKS IT IS A MUST SEE!!! http://i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q673/EvifNam/Woot2_zpsa57f22a0.png This pic is of the space ship from a top view ^ This pic is of the space ship from the front without the "Space Dingy" ^ http://i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q673/EvifNam/PTDC1291_zpsd7fde779.jpg This is what the inside of the cockpit looks like just like the game even has a nav ball and keyboard^ http://i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q673/EvifNam/Woot4_zps051cabb9.png SPACE DINGY WITH BENNY!!!! ^ http://i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q673/EvifNam/ujg_zps15935a4f.jpg All the detail that went into my space craft ^ What could be more awesome then Benny and Jeb working together!? I put a lot of effort into this and even engineered the Lego using basic programs like paint and notepad on my computer to count and figure out what parts to use before ordering them part by part threw the Lego website "pick a brick" in the end I used 92 different parts numbering over 400 in total parts. It was not cheep though about 100 dollars. If you wana try it yourself GO FOR IT! It took several weeks to design order and build. The whole lego plane is designed to move its parts and features JUST LIKE THE GAME! The lego engines are attached to a ball socket so it can maneuver just like the engine gimbals in the game. The Lego canards and flaps all move up down and side ways just like the game and the Lego wheels even move exactly like the game they can be retracted upwards and move to change direction or be lowered for the rover wheel just like the game! I even put lego robotic arms to be like the lander legs that keep the tanks in place just liek the game! The Lego Space plane can do everything my KSP Space plane can... except fly I did everything on my own. What sucks is when the game updated with all the cool new jet parts my hard work became obsolete and I now have this beauty! http://i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q673/EvifNam/screenshot102_zps55568556.png Which looks way better then my older Space Plane ^ I named by Space Plane Butterfly Boar the two intakes at the front look like Tusks and the Double wings look like a butterfly to me and its both pretty and ugly at the same time lol. So I made my "Butterfly Boar" space plane SINGLE STAGE TO ORBIT or SSTO into a lego, Along with its "Space Dingy" which helps it create distant interplanetary space ships or DIPPS for short. I call them B.B. and D.I.P.S.S. DIPPS can also sustain artificial gravity when rotated. The KSP space plane can carry up to 6 tons of cargo into orbit around kerbal the cargo size and shape is usually in the shape and size of a 4.5 ton 1 meter wide fuel tank. It can also eject its tank in space and refuel by connecting to another tank. Using its rover wheel on the ground once it lands it can roam around. It can also repair it by raising it up with the three plane wheels. It has made successful trips to Laythe and Duna and back with very little cost 27 200 in kerbal money for lathe n back. If you wana be friends or satire thats cool too I enjoy it take care and FLY SAFE!!!
  3. To: Cirocco Thank you for replying I got the interplanetary stage in orbit using 34 separate launches using my space plane. The space plane can carry about 4.5 tons into orbit on each trip. It weighs 20 tons including fuel, 8 tons without fuel. The fuel tanks in the cargo bay of the space plane are attached with docking ports and are removable so it can be refueled in orbit. The cargo is usually in the center between the fuel tanks. Landing legs are what hold the tanks in place while the space plane is in flight. Orbital construction was done with a small ion engine powered space craft that the space plane carries. I used docking ports to attach each piece of the interplanetary stage. The space plane is entirely reusable along with the small ion engine craft and the long distance interplanetary stage which can all be returned safely to the KSP center. This is a great way to save a lot of money on long distance missions, but the amount of time and effort spent on construction and the trip are high. It is possible to construct the whole thing first in a straight up single launch from the VAB but the price tag will be higher, you will have to use a ton of structural support, and you will lose money with the first and second stage getting it into orbit which will also require a large amount of power. Hope this answers your question Feel free to message me I am interested in making new friends here on the Forums. I would love to hear about your space craft you have created!
  4. The space station you see at the bottom is my artificial gravity space station I was able to send my kerbal to it with the ground samples from laythe with the left over fuel once I returned to Kerbal orbit from laythe.
  5. So I would love to know what people think of this and how many people have done this or something similar -> http://i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q673/EvifNam/tolatheandback_zps7f7d3283.jpg pix would be great if you have them! I made a Stock Ship that can go to laythe and back to kerbal using only fuel. Every part is reusable and can be safely returned to Earth. The price in kerbal money is 27200 for the round trip! THe space plane expends 800 per trip. Once its back to Kerbal orbit and if you return each part individually it will be a cost of up to 58400. If you attach parachutes like I did it will be around 28000. I aero braked a lot I probably could of saved fuel if I had gone directly to laythe instead of stopping around jool. It takes 34 trips to construct the orbital spaceship that ferrys the space plane to laythe and back. The whole thing has a mini ship lander/ion engine craft that can help explore asteroid bodies like bop along with help construct everything. The Space plane can detach its cargo from its back to refuel or construct. It can fuel whatever it docks too. the space plane also can move on its own using the rover wheel at the front once it lands. The interplanetary vessel uses two nuke engines. THe whole thing is 90 + tons the trip took about 6 years and I was able to explore pretty much any part of laythe I wanted too. Im currently designing a lego version for myself of the space plane. Hope to hear from everyone soon :D
  6. crap man Im glad people cant attack others in kerbal XD that would suck to get hit with x3 (cluster bomb)
  7. My SSTO refuelable modifiable and can land on multiple satellites (moons and planets) get back into orbit and can be sent back to earth Laythe going back into orbit
  8. My Duna Base with working Rover door lots of space for kerbals inside with science equipment and is stackable for a high rise building! Has a chamber inside of the building as well. Outside Inside
  9. My RATOL/VTOL it is refuelable adaptable and the same ship is featured in the following photos so it is reusable as well. Laythe Bop Earth
  10. My Space craft is highly adaptable and can land pretty much anywhere and get back into orbit and refueled after docking to the right parts. It is both delicate and strong. Laythe Bop https://scontent-a-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc3/1503383_10152501903633135_158704765_n.jpg Earth
  11. I would like every one to see my Planetary base, it can house 10 kerbals. http://i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q673/EvifNam/ghgf_zps79c39dae.jpg
  12. I do not think you understand. I want everyone to share their creations because I like seeing their personality expressed threw their creativity. Because you do not care for my previous post I will show you some of my more wacky creations that are more rare to see on Kerbal. This is my motor cycle made from stock parts yes it works it can go fast forward and backward, but turning is slow and requires patience. This is my Space Dollie, I wanted to make a probe that looked like a android. It is functional because if it lands on a planet it can roll around on its back or stand on its front legs/arms. It even gets deployed by a swing like structure This is my rocket/jet hover car, it can reach speeds of up to mach 4 (1360m/s+) It hovers up to take off and hovers down to land. It is hard to stall and accurate when landing. Lastly this is my inter-planetary space station it can traverse between planets.
  13. k so I am excited to see what others have done. I once saw a mod user with their base next to their rover transport next to their hover rocket plane. So now I have used stock Kerbal items to make my own space plane, returnable (can go to Duna and come back to Kerbin) lander with detachable rover/transport, and base. My major issue is getting them all in the same place for a nice photo. I would love to see similar space craft that you designed. I feel our creations are a direct visual expression of our personalities. So comments are welcome and please send your photos Here are my creations. That is my Space plane I named it Jen-ion (my name is Jenian I felt it was witty ) it is solar powered and has 5 ion engines. I have tested it on all atmospheric planets in the game and it flies in all of them I am proud of it but Im told it looks like a glorified boomerang... This is my Lander Which Im told looks like a lovely upside down bucket.... The lander is awesome it descends with aid of parachutes, lands deploys RC rover transport from underneath (to me it looks like its giving birth as it does so), kneels down to let astronauts out. Astronauts can ride the rover. It then rockets upward carrying the astronauts home, destroying itself systematically as it gets back into orbit to lessen weight (there are extra parachutes just in case it fails to do so threw human error). Then the ship can be docked and towed and or use its ion engines to go back home. This is my Duna Base. It houses 10 Kerbals in it's 5 crew chambers. There are two ways to make it, Either sending three rockets docking them together and then sending them down to parachute on to the planet, or sending the whole thing wrapped up in a cage pushed by a nuclear engine rocket... which is dangerous cuz as it lands the nuclear rocket does too..... several km away but still we don't want to nuke any planets as we colonize, very bad idea. This is the rover and transport. It seats two in between the wheels on both sides and can flip upside down or on its side in any which way and the legs on its back flip it right side up again.... just make sure to remove the astronauts from their seats or it could wack them out of the rover.... they back up again if wacked but it is safe practice to prevent. It is solar powered, and has no need for batteries.
