CHAPTER 1 Low Kerbin Orbit "I can't believe they stuck me on a REFIT cruiser!" Frank cried out in anger. "Frank, your underestimating the speed and firepower of this ship." His first mate Genecal replied calmly. "IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE MISSILES!" Genecal sighed and turned to the controls again, making sure the Halberd remained in formation. An hour later. The communication panel lit up and an image of Jebediah Kerman, the legendary captain of the Halifax, which was behind them, appeared. "Jeb?" Genecal asked. "We just got word from command that the under construction stardock in LKO just sent out a distress signal. We're almost positive its a terrorist." "We're on it." Frank replied before Genecal could ask any questions. 10 minutes earlier, Azda Orbital Repair Station Alarms blaring in the command module. "Command this is Bill Kerman, Azda has been attacked by an unknown spaceplane!" "Come again Bill? You said attacked?" "Affirmative!" "Roger, sending a cruiser for assistance in evac." KSC said before signing off. Bill peered out his viewport into the unknown and spotted the plane moving away, victorious. He growled with anger. His space station had been destroyed! They had worked on the plans for months, and now it was all ruined. He hoped that whatever KSC sent to help would teach that son of a booster a lesson! One hour later. "See Frank! A regular cruiser would've taken twice as long to get here!" Genecal said grinning with pride. "Yea, well a regular cruiser could take on twice as many threats!" Frank growled. "Frank, there is only one threat." "Whatever." He turned to the targeting console and gasped. Azda was destroyed. He detected the attacker and set a course. "Genecal, prep the-" He snickered. "Gau-19." Genecal shook his head and primed the cannon as the ship moved in. "Fire... now!" Genecal shouted as he pressed his thumb on the firing button. A stream of red tracers flew from the ship and tore the hostile spaceplane in half. "Haha! See, this ship is awesome!" Genecal said filled with pride for the Halberd. "Whatever, lets go get the pilot in the ship's cell and get Bill aboard." Frank grumbled.
