  1. It's not optimization it's keeping the game in a condition to accept new content, as it is right now, KSP is getting slower and more inefficient with the more features we add. 64bit and Multicore support is what KSP needs in order to continue to add these new features and keep it playable.
  2. Where is Mt. K2, is that the one overlooking KSC?
  3. Definitley Jool, Nothing terrifies me quite like this Ominous Behemoth slowly rising over the horizon...
  4. I love Solar Eclipse's in this game, Although the common nature of these events make them kinda... not special after awhile, It's still definitely the coolest and prettiest Celestial event KSP has to offer.
  5. I myself am not gonna try a proper Eve Ascent vehicle until we get proper Multicore support, As I am not Manley enough to make micro craft.
  6. I ran KSP at jittery Framerates on a 3.0Ghz Pentium IV with 1gb of RAM and an X200 onboard Video card. My computer Ran it in a barely playable fashion(still somewhate playable!!) Anything should run it decently.
  7. Mun, it's just a close to home thing I guess. Dunnom But I love the mun and going there.
  8. Thats incredible, Didn't know planets could do that. Really though, is there such thing as free floating in space? Afaik, No matter where, You will always be orbiting something.
  9. With 400+ parts, it'll take a miracle to fly it on lower end computers.
  10. Technically, Yes, Actually? No. When you are overheating, You are throttled up high, therefore using more fuel, Throttle down, to stop overheating and lower Fuel usage.
  11. Thanks for the feedback you guys, but Don't get too comfortable with this current design, a new version is on its way through some rigorous testing and redesigning. I'll have it up asap.
  12. Of course it would, But the whole purpose of making it all stock is to be able to share it with ANYONE who is interested. The second Iteration has a much more cleaned up Strut setup, Looks a lot better.
  13. Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you, 4 1/2 hours of work, The Arkbird. This Ship is very difficult to get off the ground, But once in the air, It's much easier, I reccomend you turn gravity off for take off, Then back on for flight. Action Groups are as goes: 1 Toggles Jet Engines. 2 Toggles Jet Engines gimbal. 3 Toggles Rocket Engines. Pkease tell me what you Think, And go ahead and improve it if you want! 14. This is indeed a pickle, My reccommendation, Radially mount the stages after it.
  15. Today whilst launching a manned mission to Minmus, I noticed something oddly familiar and different about the sun, It was a Solar Eclipse! Has anyone else ever experienced a Solar Eclipse, or any other rare celestial event?
  16. Don't forget guys, the game is after all only alpha, it appears they haven't reached the optimization phase yet, and when it hits, the game will run like butter.
  17. My first 6 attempts at landing in the new update, Resulted in me landing on a 90 degree angle, And exploding. Death and Despair have never looked more beautiful..
  18. You know you play too much KSP, when you think you are really a rocket scientist..
  19. Yes, No kerbals stranded aboard though, It was the biproduct of my failed attempt at landing on the Mun 'Apollo Style'. (2 man lander can with a 3rd dude in a command module orbiting) This god dammed lander can would NOT, no matter how I came at it, Dock with my command module, So I EVA'd everyone to the command module and flew off.
  20. I lost Jeb in the test flight of a minimalist jet. R.I.P Jeb.
  21. As long as Rockstar is still around, they're the shining example of a company doing it right.
  22. Can you name a Company worse than EA? The only one I know that can even come close is THQ, and they're gone now.
