Norton does not like CKAN at all. I downloaded CKAN and when I attempted the scan/update button it caused Norton Antivirus to go bat.... crazy. Not sure what caused it, but it flagged under SONAR.Heuristic.120 threat rating. Norton forcibly deleted everything related to CKAN then forced a reboot without any option to restore the removed files until after Norton finished rebooting my computer. I've included the Norton Log on it below in hopes that you can figure out what set it off so badly and hopefully fix it in future versions. Most likely you haven't deployed your antennas or aimed your satellite dishes at each other correctly. Think of your array of satellites as a relay system. The plugin needs to be able to find a direct path along those relays back to Mission Control for your automated ship. So you should have at least one sat in geosync orbit directly above the KSC with at least three sat dishes. One for pointing at mission control, one for pointing at your next satellite and one for pointing at your active vessel. Once you have Kerbin set up, then you go work on the Mun, by usually having several satellites with at least one dish pointed at it at all times. Once you leave the Kerbin SOI however you need to use the even bigger dishes, both back at home and with the probe. All this however requires you to have fully deployed all antennas and dishes for the system to work which means you need good system to collect energy and lots of good batteries on your probes. Hope that helps. Edit: Oh and it's kind of broken for 0.23.5 at the moment. -
Malkuth I'm curious is flight test mode supposed to be completely separate from the normal missions? Basically I attempted to make a mission that would be done in flight test mode, given it has cheaper construction costs so I could do lower pay outs to cover the costs of the test ships. However it did not register the ship as valid at all. Or at the very least did not run the mission I had set up while in that mode. Is that intended or did I stumble on a possible bug?

The no connection problem with pods is annoying in career mode. You can't start transmitting anything back unless you have the first custom omni antenna or you manually deploy the stock antenna. Which in the latest version breaks off in flight if your two low in the atmosphere. Still please implement something so that when connected to a manned pod they act like the stock version only needing a valid connection to function. At the moment it severely hampers science gains with manned pods. -
The mission package is intended to be part of a story that is played through Career Mode. So yes the very first thing is a Launch Pad EVA to gather surface samples and muck about for two minutes outside the pod. The second mission is supposed to be the first actual launch with trying to get to an altitude of at least 10,000 km with a very dinky rocket to test a newly developed parachute. Premise being is the items are locked until first mentioned in the campaign. Originally had it for thirty minutes but with Ioncross Crew Support installed that drops the Kerbal's air close to 50% in the EVA Suit. Edited: Though that orbit and EVA at the same time is a good idea for a later mission.

At the moment I hop into the .sp save files that are in with the .mpkg mission files. Since that was the easiest bit I could find fast and I knew I would likely be able to change without screwing myself up too badly. Just requires me to completely shut down KSP between changes. As for the .mkpg file I'm building it's here: https://github.com/Zerris/KerbalCorp/blob/master/kerbalcorpcareer.mpkg It is currently synced to the current version where I pulled out the buggy second mission for now, though you could probably see the code for the previous version via the file history as I only did one commit on it after the first time I posted the link to it on this thread on page 57. Basically when I added in second mission the MC does not load up the file at all.

Nope wasn't factoring in the 25% loss in payout yet, I was rounding down to the nearest full thousand though in the example. Had it been below my projected maximums I wouldn't have considered a possible bug given I was expecting some sort of loss. I basically wanted to get the missions actually working on my end first then tweak the payouts so they give specific amounts even with the loss. That way if the mission is done correctly there is a small yet steady profit over the course of several missions. If your curious my initial idea was to have the Kerbals start with a 1000 Krone budget and go from there. Where if I use the default game prices without Mission Controller it is doable, but then I have to do all the math by hand. MC on the other hand lets me automate it and create an in character Email Client via how it is set up which is awesome. Still the expenses for a single mk1pod MC imposes required me to add a 0 to the starting budget and payouts, especially as I also have Ioncross Crew Support installed. Without you continuing this, it would be a frustrating nightmare trying to figure out all the fuel costs alone. So thanks

Found a possible bug with the Kerbal Insurance in v0.33. It is supposed to I believe subtract and then return the exact amount of the cost. When I did a test of it with a budget of 10,000 Krones it dropped me into the negatives with the cost of a mk1pod which I expected. Given I was setting up the mission to give just 10,000 Krones. Now I did the test in sandbox mode so I did factor in the recycle amount and should have had after the mission completed was completely effectively doubt what it should have been. A single mission with just a command pod and a kerbal shouldn't. Using a rough example Budget: 10,000 Pod Cost: 8,000 Insurance: 20,000 Budget after mission start: -18,000 Mission reward: 10,000 Budget: -8,000 Kerbal survives: 20,000 returned Budget: 12,000 Recycle Active: 5,000 Budget: 17,000 at maximum What I got was the following: Budget: 10,000 Pod Cost: 8,000 Insurance: 20,000 Budget after mission start: -18,000 Mission reward: 10,000 Budget: -8,000 Kerbal survives: 20,000 returned Budget: 40,000 Recycle Active: 5,000 Budget: 45,000 I also noted that there seems to be a minimum reward for every mission so even if I set reward to zero it seems to be adding 10k to a subsection on a mission.

Alright I have seemed to run afoul of something while trying to build my own custom little Mission Package to help me set goals and limits for a Let's Play I'm planning to run. I was able to sort of get what I wanted in for the first Mission correct I think, however after adding in the second mission the file refuses to load in Mission Controller. Here is a link to a copy of what I have so far, could some one check it over and tell me where I'm screwing up? I think I'm following all the instructions in the mission guide but I have to be doing something wrong. https://github.com/Zerris/KerbalCorp/blob/master/kerbalcorpcareer.mpkg

[0.20] Ioncross Crew Support Plugin ([0.22] dev build)
Zerris replied to yongedevil's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I may have found a bug, unless it is something intentional. While having a Kerbal run around on Kerbin, with the latest Dev Build linked on this thread installed, I noticed that the Oxygen level dropped. While the 1-2% per minute rate does give me an idea on how fast the EVA Suits air tanks will be used up when in space. I have to ask if it's meant to drop while on Kerbin or if that is a bug?
