  1. I'm a bit disappointed that this game hasn't reached it's goal yet. We need to get this game under the attention of more people.
  2. They did say that Voyager 1 needs to read drastic changes in all 3 reading. IIRC: Detected Solar particles should be (near)zero. Detected galactic particles should be seeing a huge increase. A change in the direction of the magnetic field. You could argue that the first two definitions are met, but those 2 could drop and rise even more. By the way, where do you read the magnetic field data? I found this ftp site with data up till today.
  3. Your tests have 1 flaw though; the 2nd time you run a program part of it is still in memory, so it loads faster.
  4. I use mods only if they don't change the balance of the game. For example: I wouldn't use over powered engines.
  5. Though it is efficient in a way that they use it all to grow, either in plant size, fruit or other energy storage by just collecting light.
  6. Artificial muscle made from carbon nanotubes, that could be a strong and lightweight solution:
  7. Hey thanks Kryten! Still a bit expensive, like you said. Here's a video of a real double slit experiment, fired 1 by 1. And here's a video of the observer effect:
  8. Yes, that's how you show that particles have a wave function shown by the interference pattern. But not how you show the observer problem. I'd like to know what they use to measure/observe the particle, like in the above video.
  9. They aren't meant to be perfectly well thought out, well at least in my opinion. They are included not to hand you the perfect rocket/plane/etc. to do whatever, but to give you an example and ideas on what you can do. Perfect crafts would just take away the fun and effort of designing and testing as you could just load up the perfect stock crafts. Now you've demonstrated yourself that they work as test crafts, to see what works and doesn't.
  10. The double slit experiment was used, in 1801 by Thomas Young, to find out if light acts as waves or as a particle. The results provided proof that light behaves likes waves. Now for the observer effect, which is explained rather well by Dr. Quantum: Which brings me to my question: Can you test this at home? I know you can do the double slit experiment rather easily. But how can you do the observer effect experiment?
  11. When We Left Earth might be the best of all the space race documentaries, well at least in my opinion. The whole feeling of it just puts you on the edge of your seat. I'm watching Moon Machines now, it's a great series too. Lots of info which normally don't consider.
  12. War is a product of the instinct to solve a problem/threat with violence. Just like space exploration is the product of the instinct to explore and survive. I rather play KSP with the idea that the Kerbals only goal is to explore and survive.
  13. I have to agree with you, "Spider" is my favorite too. It really shows the pressure and time constraint of the Apollo program and the great advancements they achieved in that short period of time. Every episode was great in it's own way, except for "The original wives club" episode. It just wasn't that interesting to me and I only saw like 15 minutes of it.
  14. Hey everyone! My names is Albert and I've been playing KSP for a few months now and I just decided to register to the forums. My main interest are space, science and computer games, which are all more or less integrated in KSP.
