The Discovery channel has been mostly garbage for quite some time. The Science channel is pretty decent, unfortunately my new cable provider does not provide it. The Military channel was also pretty decent last time I still had access to it. I think the biggest joke of all is the "History" channel though. There was a time when they had fascinating shows on like, the history of the Roman empire, the Russian Czars, the American presidents, etc. There is so much fascinating history out there to explore... but now it's just aliens, truckers, and pawn shops. I think the market is wide open to someone who is willing to start an ACTUAL history/science/intellectual channel.
