  1. I remember reading that a Kerbal on EVA weights 94kg. Not sure if that helps.
  2. If there's a mod part on a craft, deleting the mod (or even just the part!) will cause the craft to be removed from the game. That's why the OP wants a way to remove the part from the craft. I think nhnifong's idea is the best solution I've heard so far.
  3. Congratulations on your "giant leap"!
  4. I noticed that the RCS Quad in this pack does not properly apply lateral thrust when translating - at least, according to RCS Build Aid. It appears that the thrust vector for sideways thrust is actually directed 5-10 degrees to aft. Replacing with normal stock RCS quads shows the correct thrust direction. I'd prefer the improved Isp of the KW ones, but not if it affects actual translation.
  5. You could edit the config for the part to make it act like a decoupler, then just jettison it from the craft. As to how that's done? No idea, but I'm sure it's possible to make it behave like a different part.
  6. Totally random out of the selection of textures you use... so if you want all your guys to have orange suits, then just install only an orange suit texture.
  7. Welcome back! I'm excited to se an updated and optimized version of this mod.
  8. No, it's simply rude - not to mention, spectators shouldn't criticize work while they lay back and let someone else do all the pushing. But I'm sure you feel you've done something important by offering your opinion.
  9. For that, I'd recommend the RCS Build Aid plugin (to make sure your thrusters are balanced and to see if there's unwanted torque), and the RLA Stockalike mod for the 45 degree RCS thrusters, which solve this debate.
  10. I spent most of Friday designing a lander in the VAB. Mostly it was adjusting the ladders so that they would allow proper use at the right height and adjusting the landing legs. Move things a bit, go to the launch pad, see if it works, repeat... The VAb really needs a way to allow you to deploy landing legs, ladders, panels etc so that you can be sure they are placed correctly without leaving the scene.
  11. I'm not a Reddit user and not interested in signing up for yet another thing - I just don't like the way it's organized. It seems to be a pile of information and good luck finding what you need. It's like all the downsides of a forum but none of the organization. But that might be because I'm an old curmudgeon from the days of 300 baud acoustic modems and 4K RAM. If there's an easy (for an old grog like me) and permissible way I can share the file, please let me know and I'll gladly do so.
  12. Could that be why I was having game crashes when trying to launch it? http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Kraken#Hell_Kraken I'm going to see if restoring the Spaces folder from 4.6 fixes it.
  13. Precisely. I'm sure that we'll see soon enough whether these "new" files correct the errors in the originals. It's why I put up the screenshot of mine - I discovered that some of the panels were absent or improperly aligned, and had to correct it myself. It helps that I have a model on my desk for reference.
  14. As I said, the advice I was offering was not for my sake - it's up to you how you choose to deal with a reminder. I'm sorry I can't help you with your remaining problem - but I'm sure someone will be along eventually who will. As for the files, are these the same files that you were begging for in the BobCat thread last night and that Tonupboy sent you a link to? Thanks so much for your hard work. I hope when you copied the files you were sent, you remembered to realign the solar panel on the MIR Core so that it extends properly...
  15. Sounds like some useful parts here. I'm sure you'll have pictures up soon for those who have difficulty remembering what a docking port surrounded by four spotlights looks like.
  16. To be fair - neither do you. I have no need to know how. I don't mod for KSP. We have one thing in common, at least. I don't understand why you are so angry with me - what, exactly, have I done that you feel a need to insult me and call me names?
  17. OK, I'll break it down so it's clearer to you: You created a thread in Mod Releases for craft files - files that you still did not include a link to in this thread. So you've released nothing. In fact, the only link I see is for your channel. It's clear to me that this was your primary intent - to advertise your YouTube channel. This isn't the section for that. I tried to give you some good advice, and a heads-up on the expectations the moderators have for this section. I even tried to pay you a compliment. But you're looking to start something - I'm not here to argue with you. Yes, I have an average of about 10 posts a day. Many of them are trying to help people with issues just like yours - but usually, they have the good grace to be grateful about it. Whereas, of your 13 posts, 4 of them have been in a thread which should, by rights, be locked until you have something to actually contribute. Maybe you need more than well-intentioned advice from a fellow member. I'll remind someone who can actually solve this problem.
  18. It's not for my peace of mind - it's to keep the mods from moving (or worse, locking) your thread. Current status would be "unreleased", so you can see why they would move it out of "releases". That said, I do look forward to when you have completed your work. I built MIR from the Soviet Pack but had to include the ASAS from an older version - with all the troubles that caused. It will be nice if people don't need to go through that hassle and can build MIR without an obsolete part. Hopefully, BobCat will give us updated files in the next version. As for why you cannot upload multiple craft files to SpacePort? I'd ask "why are you trying to upload them separately?" Put them all in one .zip since people are going to want to use all six modules to build the station. If that doesn't work, I can only wish you luck.
  19. Did you forget to... you know, include the files? This section is for completed add-ons. As it currently stands, this isn't a thread for Add-Ons, it's an advertisement for your channel. I'm sure that wasn't your intent and you'll edit your post to include a link.
  20. I love how imaginative this all is. Perhaps if one of the components produced hot tea, we could also get an Infinite Improbability Drive and build the Heart of Gold!
  21. I've got a copy of it, but not sure how to get it to you (or if it is permitted for me to do so). I want to make sure I handle this properly, as Big Brother has His Unblinking Eye upon me of late.
  22. Thank you very kindly for answering my question and providing the link for the patch!
  23. I do the same thing. I've learned a lot about lander and lifter design by studying how others build their craft. Sometimes I've even found ways to improve on the original craft.
  24. I looked back through this thread from late July through mid-August and didn't see anything about a hotfix. Was this patch ever released?
  25. As others have pointed out, simply burning straight toward it is guaranteed to miss, because you're not only increasing the difference in your relative velocity, you're also changing the altitude (and possibly inclination) of your orbit. I'd recommend watching PebbleGarden's Phoenix Project videos on YouTube, and trying out Blizzy's Rendezvous Tutorial.
