That's because it uses the Unity Engine, which is a 32-bit engine. But I'm confident they can optimize KSP for it - I used to play BSG Online and performance was pretty good unless there was a big battle.
-
Everyone should have the right to play the game however they see fit. It's not a competitive multiplayer game, it's a single player sandbox.
-
About three and a half weeks now. I got it when Steam had it on sale a while back (though I missed the really low price).
-
OK, that seemed to work at first glance... but after putting a satellite in orbit last night, I launched the game today to discover that all my settings had been forgotten and the save was lost. It's almost as if it was a fresh install again. Not sure why, but fortunately all I lost were a couple small first steps. I hate spending money needlessly, but if giving Squad another $23 means I won't lose all my work, I could think of worse places for the cash to go.

By process of elimination, it must be #3, as the stripes go the other way. But I agree that this is hardly an instantly recognizable way to tell, especially since the only reason it can be deduced here is due to the conditions of the test. If you said "Which one(s) are installed incorrectly?" few, if any could tell.

Thanks, that's a good idea. Not to mention, the game will load even if one cannot connect to Steam (i.e., during a brief Internet outage I had last night). Now I just have to figure out how to tell KSP to use only one core (in a safe way, of course).

Looking forward to the release of the AMP, and in the meantime I will try out Ph34rb0t's Saturn 1-B. Thanks to you both. -
[1.0.2] NovaPunch 2.09. - May 6th - 1.0 Compatibility Update

Thanks, but how does one use these? I mean, I see where they should go but I don't see any way for the computer to know what mod they are for. -
Thank you. This is what I needed. I suppose I should have made it clear that I was looking to install a texture, not create one. It's a little different than the earlier releases in that it doesn't come with a skybox. I can imagine that some users who don't look into the issue would think "it doesn't work", but I understand now. Thank you.

I tried it and honestly, aside from the Vertical Snap, didn't find it helped me much in construction. All it really did for me was slow down the VAB. I'm sure some people will find it very useful, though.
-
Moto, how does one do that with a Steam app?

A peanut is neither a pea, nor a nut... discuss. Most peanut butter doesn't contain nuts, as peanuts are a legume. I can see how some people might overlook placing the Sr. port on backwards. Unlike other ports, it doesn't have an easily distinctive shape.

Frizzank, I eagerly await your upcoming releases! That all sounds so good!

Where can i get nice looking heat shields?
HeadHunter67 replied to Motokid600's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
That last one, at least, is an older mod and so you can't install it like mods from .20 or later. You need to actually put it in the root Parts folder - it won't work from GameData. -
I can't undock/redock
HeadHunter67 replied to Hanyuu's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
You have to back away a few meters to reset the ports, and then move in again. If only it were as easy as disconnecting, rotating and nudging back in - wouldn't that be nice? -
That's really beautiful. I'll have to give it a try! (As soon as I figure out how to replace the textures - the first post doesn't seem too clear on that)
-
But you're not a teacher. I can tell - because if you only want to dictate how people should learn, you're not truly interested in how people learn or how they play, and that's a shame. But if we're going to talk about learning, believe me, I'd have a thing or two to say about that post... I'm not worried about feeling "useless" in a game. See, it's not real. I accomplish enough of lasting significance in my daily life that I don't feel a need to validate myself to others in the context of a game. I'm honestly amazed that a game like this appeals to competitive players anyhow, since that's clearly not the thrust of it. As for "skill level"? Again, I don't care. I play for fun - this isn't a "test of skill" to me. My outlook on this whole issue can be summed up thusly: I believe that everyone should have the right to play the game the way he or she wants, and that no one else has the right to say otherwise.
-
Then why are you talking so much about the players, and not the game? It matters to you. I regret to inform you that what matters to you is meaningless to how others play. See what I mean about people who feel they're fit to decide for others? Why do you care how other people play? Are you the sort of person that pushes little kids of bikes because they have training wheels and you don't need them? There are a lot of things other people can do easily that you can't - is it right for them to tell you how to live because of it? Let these people play how they want, man. You act like it's costing you something to do so. For crying out loud, it's a game. They're not competing in the Olympics.
-
Yeah, it looks beautiful like EVE... only it's not a second full-time job, and you don't need to hire an accountant.
-
I'm trying to get you to acquire a proper sense of perspective. As soon as you realize that it's not about the mod, or even the game, and that the real issue is about people who feel like they can't be happy unless everyone does things their way... then it will all become clear to you. As soon as you accomplish something in your life that makes everything you've ever done in every game pale in comparison... then you'll understand why this is a tempest in a teapot. But if that's not clear enough, let me ask this: What's it matter to you how other people play? Do you honestly think you know better?
