I love career mode. I like progression. I am one of those people that loathes sandboxes that don't make you work for your toys.
-
I enjiy the changes to progression. In .90 i would just get the policy to turn money into science and I would have the tech tree completed without leaving kerbin orbit ( never even went to the moon )

Which Operating System for 0.90 on Apple Hardware?
Herbin replied to Faster's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Windows 7/ SteamOS. Stock. Never crashes on either. I built my compy. -
Im honestly surprised at the number of people who have crash issues. Ksp has never once crashed on me. Also i found space engine boring as hell
-
Dead is dead. Career mode on hard difficulty. Have to pay funds for parts as well as science. Very fun. Absolutely no reverts.
-
Bull for my valentine tries to fit the latter. Bunch of whining emo turds.

What is your creative process like when you have an idea in KSP?
Herbin replied to Little Katie's topic in KSP1 Discussion
My creations usually go" the form follows the function " route. Sometimes not pretty -
Is it cheating or an improvement to the game?
Herbin replied to delder92663's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Altering thingin game to anything other than default constitutes cheating imo -
Do you think Sandbox Mode can still be rewarding?
Herbin replied to Draconiator's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I strictly play career. I tend to come up with designs as I need them and sandboxes in any game aren't very rewarding for me. I prefer to play with tangible and goal specific stuff to accomplish. -
I put a satellite in keosync orbit On my lunch break fulfilling a contract. Planning on 2 additional sats and going to start attempting rescue missions.
-
.90 runs great. Game has always run great for me. Also a stock purist - no mods. My rig is also pretty beasty
-
Thanks... I think. lol. I do have several specialized ships. My favorite is my KDST ship. ( Kerbal Drop Science Team ) It's basically a mothership with four detachable dropships for various science type tasks. The main ship is permanently in space. Too large ti land anywhere

As much as I can get away with.
-
I like learning new things. I also very much enjoy the feeling of success when something I design does exactly what I intend it to do , then get blown away when I realize the limitless other uses it has.
-
Took my first ever stab at jets in this game. After much frustration and colorful language. I have a functional jet that is stable. Also managed to land it without killing jeb.
-
I like how it currently sits. i turn $ into science and go after the high payout missions. The determining factor for me is always the money. More money = more science how I play. So I don't care if they are wanting me to field test a commode , uf the pay is high enough I do it.
-
I just play career mode. Money, science, reputation -what's not to love. Especially the huge payout missions. I get extra science per fund so flying through the science tree is pretty fun. You also hit walls when you have to upgrade buildings to unlock features / abilities. Good times. Also waiting for 1.0

Landed on Minmus, got into high orbit around the sun, orbited Moho, collected gobs of science points with my mobil research lab, then returned to Kerbin. Nuclear engines for ftw.
-
The learning curve isn't too bad from what I've encountered. Only put a bit shy of 40 hours into the game and I'm doing mun landings ( have a base there too ) , satellites, a space station for off-planet fueling , various orbits, and a successful Minmus landing / intercept. Not the worst learning curve by far, but a bit intimidating for those not wanting to try new things.

Do they currently serve any direct purpose to the Kerbals ? ( Communications , etc ) Just curious .

Question on LV-N Atomic Rocket Engine
Herbin posted a topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
What's the deal w/ this one? The stat sheet on it doesn't look very good at all. Or am I just not understanding something about it ? ( I'm not running any mods either , just vanilla KSP ) -
How many kerbals does a hitchhiker hold?
