A version of the truss that is hollow that fits the standard tanks is coming up.
-
SAS for sure. Command modules are complicated but I'll probably get one made eventually.
-
updated already! Added a sideways hub.

This truss system is inspired by Semni's original THSS mod. I have recreated these parts from scratch but with a few differences. This set is scaled larger than the original. It matches up with the large Rockomax tanks. This mod won't replace the parts from the original mod if you are using it. This pack is still in beta. Its stable and usable but i will be adding more parts and tweaking/balancing the numbers. Download Curse Forge Page SpaceDock Parts Included: Large Truss Large Truss with LFO tanks Medium Truss Small Truss Small Truss with mounting plates Truss Hub Adapters to small and large round parts (I'll make ones for tiny and huge if there is demand) End cap with mounting plate SAS Unit Docking Port Hollow Long truss' Planned Parts: Solar panels (DONE - Coming next version) More trusses with tanks (mono, fuel only, battery, life support, hydrogen, argon, xenon) Cargo bay truss Greenhouse truss Crew quarters and passages Reactor (near future compatible) Engines A command pod Large Truss set with large cargo bay and HUGE tanks. I know how to fix the same directory model problem! Shuttle orbiter system has all its models in the same directory so I looked at the config files and noticed a difference. most configs have: mesh = model.mu But parts in the same folder have this instead of that: MODEL { model = SPD/Parts/HexTruss/HexTrussAdapterLarge } Just swap that out and you can have all your models in the same folder. I'm doing this with my version of the Trusses, makes exporting and managing the parts much easier.

Finished some adapters. The Large and small size ones and a flat mounting plate end cap. The nice thing is that all the parts so far only use one 512x512 texture. This way it has very little impact on the memory limit. Do you guys think I should make adapters for the tiny and huge sizes? Next up is some tanks and I'll try a docking port. I might start on a greenhouse as well. PS. noonespecial, try putting a blur on your shading layer. It might smooth it out a bit. I would also recommend reducing the colour saturation on the pipes. You could also overlay some texture on the pipes and metal. I used a very faint (almost invisible) metal texture on mine. For the pipes I overlayed a woven fabric texture. I get most of these from cgtextures.com. What image editor are you guys using?

Someone else just send my a copy so I'm good there. Ex. Planetary is a mod I've wanted to use for a while but all mods I use must look good. Now that I've got this part making thing figured out I'll make it look good. Not sure how I'll do that recycling bin thing though, maybe a huge grinder. I'll definitely be making a lot of resource storage parts for the Hex Trusses.

I'll be making all the parts from the original mod. The ones there are screenshots of on his original post. (I don't actually have the mod so if there are more let me know) I'll also make any other parts the I can think of like fuel tank parts. I was also thinking of some other parts like reactors(for inter stellar and/or near future tech), radiators, batteries, solar panels, cargo bays, TAC Life support parts, greenhouse, extra planetary launchpads (it needs new models badly).

Ive got some pictures: Medium Large There is a small one too but there's not much point in posting it since it looks like half the medium one. Each Truss size here corresponds to the large fuel tanks. The large truss is exactly the same size as the Jumbo 64 orange tank. (I used the Jumbo 64's cfg as a guide so the nodes are exactly the same) I'll be working on the connectors next.

Detachable, flexable power cords/fuel hoses
SpeedyB replied to SirJoab's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
This would be great for docking fuel tanks onto larger spacecraft. You could dock the tanks on then connect them to the main tanks so that they drain properly. Instead of having to stop everything and transfer fuel.
