  1. A version of the truss that is hollow that fits the standard tanks is coming up.
  2. SAS for sure. Command modules are complicated but I'll probably get one made eventually.
  3. updated already! Added a sideways hub.
  4. This truss system is inspired by Semni's original THSS mod. I have recreated these parts from scratch but with a few differences. This set is scaled larger than the original. It matches up with the large Rockomax tanks. This mod won't replace the parts from the original mod if you are using it. This pack is still in beta. Its stable and usable but i will be adding more parts and tweaking/balancing the numbers. 5. On a side note I've released my version: http://kerbal.curseforge.com/ksp-mods/222466-speedys-hex-truss-system
  6. That's odd. I would make a post in the modelling and texturing sub thread. Someone there might know what the issue is. I can't really help much with this since I'm using 3ds max, I've only used blender to import .mu models and export to max for scale reference.
  7. I finished the first tank part: I'll start a release thread and make this stuff available shortly.
  8. I know how to fix the same directory model problem! Shuttle orbiter system has all its models in the same directory so I looked at the config files and noticed a difference. most configs have: mesh = model.mu But parts in the same folder have this instead of that: MODEL { model = SPD/Parts/HexTruss/HexTrussAdapterLarge } Just swap that out and you can have all your models in the same folder. I'm doing this with my version of the Trusses, makes exporting and managing the parts much easier.
  9. Most of those parts do look like they are already in game. But not this bit: That part looks really cool. Especially the bit with the X shaped structures and little tanks in it.
  10. Finished some adapters. The Large and small size ones and a flat mounting plate end cap. The nice thing is that all the parts so far only use one 512x512 texture. This way it has very little impact on the memory limit. Do you guys think I should make adapters for the tiny and huge sizes? Next up is some tanks and I'll try a docking port. I might start on a greenhouse as well. PS. noonespecial, try putting a blur on your shading layer. It might smooth it out a bit. I would also recommend reducing the colour saturation on the pipes. You could also overlay some texture on the pipes and metal. I used a very faint (almost invisible) metal texture on mine. For the pipes I overlayed a woven fabric texture. I get most of these from cgtextures.com. What image editor are you guys using?
  11. I'll be making near future adapters for mine for sure. I use Near Future a lot so I'll need them. I also think the crushed gold foil would be best. It looks good in the near future pack. Not sure how it will look orange but you could just make the tanks gold.
  12. The reflective stuff is pretty cool. It looks a little bulgy adn rounded in the middle, you could add a couple support edges at the ends and corners to make it flatter in the middle.
  13. Someone else just send my a copy so I'm good there. Ex. Planetary is a mod I've wanted to use for a while but all mods I use must look good. Now that I've got this part making thing figured out I'll make it look good. Not sure how I'll do that recycling bin thing though, maybe a huge grinder. I'll definitely be making a lot of resource storage parts for the Hex Trusses.
  14. I'll be making all the parts from the original mod. The ones there are screenshots of on his original post. (I don't actually have the mod so if there are more let me know) I'll also make any other parts the I can think of like fuel tank parts. I was also thinking of some other parts like reactors(for inter stellar and/or near future tech), radiators, batteries, solar panels, cargo bays, TAC Life support parts, greenhouse, extra planetary launchpads (it needs new models badly).
  15. Internet is fixed. Here are the pictures of the finished greenhouse. I'll Message you the download.
  16. Ive got some pictures: Medium Large There is a small one too but there's not much point in posting it since it looks like half the medium one. Each Truss size here corresponds to the large fuel tanks. The large truss is exactly the same size as the Jumbo 64 orange tank. (I used the Jumbo 64's cfg as a guide so the nodes are exactly the same) I'll be working on the connectors next.
  17. I've finished a small medium and large truss. I have them textured and looking perfectly stock. Unfortunately my main internet is out so I'll upload the pictures once its fixed tomorrow.
  18. I've got the greenhouse finished. Unfortunately my internet is down till Monday (currently using my phone). Do you have a preferred shape for the next one?
  19. That looks pretty good. I might start on a classic version that's nearly the same as the original. I can also answer any texturing questions or even make some textures for you guys if you like.
  20. I've been working on a spherical greenhouse. Its mainly for practice and figuring out how to get things into KSP. The textures are still in progress, they will be refined quite a bit (less black lines more details etc.) Closed: Open:
  21. Thanks. Its working now. PS. I was thinking of maybe modelling a couple parts for KSP. I was thinking I might start with a greenhouse or two. What style would be best? I was thinking a dome and maybe a stack mount toroidal one.
  22. I've run into a problem (I think). The modules seem to have no options to open or close the shutters or change modes. The resource and waste storage are still displayed though.
  23. This would be great for docking fuel tanks onto larger spacecraft. You could dock the tanks on then connect them to the main tanks so that they drain properly. Instead of having to stop everything and transfer fuel.
