Whoops, I guess the .png file was corrupt. I extracted the .rar file again, replaced the corrupt file with the new one and it fixed the problem.

Anyone know what would cause this? Windows 7 Steam 0.22 UniverseReplacer 4.0

Yeah, I think it would definitely add a cool dynamic.

I had a thought today of how amazing it would be if while playing KSP you got a pop up in game alerting you of an Asteroid on a path to come very close to Kerbin. It would basically give you a countdown of its approach giving you time to prepare a mission. This would give you the option to try and land on the object, which if done successfully you could then perform some Science Experiments for a large science reward. Or perhaps go Armageddon style which would have you attempting to deliver a Nuclear payload to said object to blow it up for a science reward! This of course is just a rough example of the idea of having such random events in the game.

I'm not familiar with the development cycle of video games, but with this last update it got me thinking... It took several weeks to go from .21 to .22 and at this rate 1.0 seems a decade or so away. Anyway. I absolutely love this game, and look forward to many hours of dying in the horrible infernos I create.

Oh my gosh! Okay, so right after I posted this I went for another try, and realized how dumb I was being. A parachute on the moon? haha Anyway, I got myself some landing gear and was able to land just fine. Thanks again to everyone for being so nice, even when presented with a less than astute question!

So, I am absolutely loving this game. It's great in so many ways. However, I'm having an issue with deploying my parachute while trying to land on Mun. The parachute works fine when deployed on Kerbal, but it doesn't seem to be working on the Mun, even when approaching at very, very low speeds. Can anyone help me realize where I'm going wrong?? Thanks!
