  1. HAH A .5-1m part is already made, it\'s Nova\'s GSH-30 nosecap, might need to tweak mass to make it useable and stable! GL! now we need 1m-.5 part and perferable a shroud... Also I believe sunday pack has a short fat 1m low burntime SRB.
  2. Hah just got vert burnout at 125,000m and over 3,700m/s Straight up! ;P Is it legal to mount SRB on side of SRB for sounding rocket? Anyways .craft below! Uses Nova/Winston parts, and uhh I think its TOO OVERPOWERED for sounding role, it catapulted them to like freakin 1570 KM from that vertical launch, their still slowing down 10 minutes into flight.
  3. Going to suck for whoever gets the property insurance call! I imagine the conversation would be like this, Random freaked out moron: UHHH! Statefarm Somehow aliens dun BLEW up my !@#$ing house from outerspace! Insurance Agent: Sorry Sir!, we can\'t help you since the contract you signed said on page 237 doesn\'t cover falling space debris! Moron: DERP!! NASA and the FBI are stomping on the foundation looking for all these broken pc chip things. Insurance Agent: Goodbye POT smoking moron prankcaller! Moron: NooooOOOOOooOOOOO!!!!!!!! FBI operative: Under exec. order number blah 0 blahblah-78, we\'re detaining this moron until this mess gets cleaned up. Unless he\'s quite. NASA nerd: He\'s contaiminating the whole crashsite with SPIT, move the moron aside now for national security reasons! Moron: I\'MMMM RICHHHHHH WAIIITTTTTT!!!!(handcuff clicks shut) Why\'d yall pay me 200k then arrest me? FBI: You broke the deal by yelling loud enough for the whole damn town to hear that your rich cuz the SPY sat-E-Lite smacked your house.
  4. Regardless of whos math is better, I simply like the fact these parts are more powerful but still balanced by careful using of high cost/high fuel burns too and overheating issues. Not overpowered like those E-1000 things, tried those once and deleted em lol....
  5. Nova\'s low drag radial decouplers seem to look very nice with your half meter SRB\'s ,winston, on 1m rockets. First pack I\'ve seen that lets users pick burn-times of SRBs, with added weight increase, nice touch!
  6. Well don\'t feel bad Nova, your parts are still epic, imagine how many of your lunar landers are going to be on the Mun, since this dude made a nice spacetruck to take it there. Your parts are better than the stock by far. I\'m only d/l ing this pack for the 2m engines and more SRB choices. Your big bertha engine looks nice, but tall 2m LRF crush it too easily imo, but the other parts are very nice.
  7. This rocket wasn't mentioned but I'm curious what the pros/cons of the early ATLAS series, since my grandfather on dad's side of the family made the rocketnozzles for it after getting out from the Marines post-WW2. Dad remembered watching him machining the nozzles on a freakin' shop 'lathe' in a shed out back middle of nowhere Missouri, guess subcontracting is nothing new LOL.
  8. AstroAviation just released their larger deltawing, introducing the X-5! Because the engineers wanted enough power to stretch the smile off of Jeb's face! Is 5 turborocket engines enough, Jeb thinks so?! WARNING: AstroAviation is not responsible for Kermans left on the Mun, enemy SAMs destroying this on the dark side of Kearth during polar orbits, cratered runways, nor unbuckled passengers getting slung into salsa upon takeoff. Parts: Nova/Sundays, Stock MK1pod, C7 V1.31 pack Pros -Achieves higher orbits than X-4, carries more fuel into orbit , and performs like a B-58 Hustler on spaceroids. -No stupid landing gear to cause drag, includes ejecton MK1 Pod if you get in deep !@#$. -Flies similar to X-4 but overall better endurance. -Largest pure delta on this thread atm, enjoy! -Speedy! -Stable for its size -Makes a decorative lawndart once crashed nosefirst, says marketing dept. Cons -Takeoffs are sketchy at first until you build speed and postive climbrate -Wingwobble sometimes occurs when pitched violently -The engineers designed it to FLY awesome and not land easily, DURH! They can't make it do both tasks awesomely. -Rookies can destroy this in aerobatics easily.
  9. X-4 updated to C7 v1.31! Description in prior post, now flyable again!! .craft and pic below! Small fighter like agile orbital craft that can escape orbit. Remember Bob ate the V1.31 landing gear shipment so good landings require Jeb alert or Bill pressing spacebar.
  10. So is .11 or .12 a good guess of when we might see it for d/l?
  11. Or a new use could be to get those massive unbalanced spaceplanes well into Center of gravity limits per say. ;D So stop cratering Kearth and download these jeeez.
  12. I wanted to say thank you to the modder who built this, it's an awesome beta rocket, and being in beta phase I think you already know what needs fixing. Good luck, everyone had as much fun flying it as you did building em'!
  13. Here is my semi-stable delt-wing design, it'll hit escape velocity from a circ orb no problem at all despite it's small size. WARNING: X-4 has nimble fighterjet like handling, worst part is takeoff just use the twin rudders on it to get it to 90 deg then climb up crazy around 50 deg+ once at 10km. I use full throttle too, but you may need to play with it. (Uses Nova, C7, Wobbly, and stock parts) -The pros, it doesn't break up easily in turns/ rolls/ split S or whatever else you dish to it, besides crashing ofcourse. -Stable enough to not need C7 pod, uses stock MK1 pod and can be flown on keyboard with practice. -The cons, it made Jeb grin so big it broke the canopy inflight so it's slightly used now, landing gear not included, Bob ate them! http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/231/x43u.jpg/ Now tested in 10.1, needs C7 V1.2 files to load properly and FLY. You can make one with 1.3 parts but it won't go far, LOL!?
  14. As stupid as this sounds, have you tried softly 'colliding' with the mun? B/C colliding into the sats works but its very tricky. Not trying to spam, thought you might need some ideas.
  15. Despite my measly few posts, I've messed around with this game for about 2 months, placed satellites into circ orbits, and instead of immediately landing, decided to 'Knock them out of stable orbit' with the command pod + SLR engine. So tipping objects/moving them is definately possible. Don't have any vids yet sry. GL with your idea, it should work from what I've done to satellites. Doesn't take much speed to move stuff up there.
