  1. I am sure Squad will honor the deal on free content for early adopters. We put up with buggy updates, a 4G limit on mods, buggy 64 bit support (though that was not fixed until after the cutoff) and have supported this game through complaints bug reports and hype. For early adopters after the cutoff, think of what you paid, then look at the price on steam. As long as the Expansion pack doesn't cost too much, I would consider it worth it. I certainly consider my original investment worth it. How many games have you gotten 4 years of entertainment out of? dev's gotta eat too....
  2. The Stabilizer seems to be a "reality brake" I appears to zero out all motion. if you launch and activate it, you vehicle will freeze in mid air. Could you add a check for Ground contact? also, If you retract the stabilizers in the VAB/SPH, they act like they are deployed when they are retracted
  3. I like the idea of experiments to get data, and deliver the data to Kerbin to get science done. Then there is the type of science and how it applies. I am also all for being limited to sub-orbital until a few experiments are done on the upper atmosphere, the you can progress to orbit, them the mun, Duna, etc... I just don't want to have to go to the Mun before I can build an orbital platform. or the other way around. I await the actual science equipment and experiments that go with it. Harv described the experiments as one-shot deals where data is collected than delivered back. I hope that the experiments are not only time based, i.e. deploy experiment, wait a day, collect results, but also include actions. such as collect data while driving a rover through the mountains successfully to make better materials. or have a "black box" part to get data from failed missions to improve computing. I am also assuming the Kerbals' Stupidity levels will factor in to the experiments as well. In the tree, I hope it is more free-form than the rigid examples from strategy games. I want to pick my own successful or unsuccessful path. I want to invent the aerosol spray can before the wheel! Nevermind lighter materials, get a better ISP and thrust! Never invent the RTG and rely completely on kolar power, triple-K batteries, and an Exercycle connected to a generator. (hamster powered probe anyone?) KSP has a silly and ridiculous side to it. please keep it. The only pre-requisite to an achievement should be the ability to construct the equipment to achieve it.
  4. I had an issue a few times with slightly off docking, then I realized that it was aligning my radially mounted MJ unit instead of the docking port. if I "Control from here" on the docking port, I have no problems. You will also have no problems if you are controlling from the in-line command pod, but a few times, MJ grabs the control location and I have to set it back, or else have odd effects.
  5. I found that if you load something that works, then load something with rocket parts in it, then press build.. you get your rocket parts storage vessel. it's a bug of a bug, allowing me to build probably a 8k cost warehouse for the price of a 2k rover. I also have this one bug where occasionally my built vessel appears attached to the side of my workshop instead of on the landing pad, breaking off all of the solar panels on that side.
